According to our Cooktop expert
Cook safely and energy-efficiently: with induction, you cook safely and energy-efficiently.
Pay less attention to the cooking time: the cooktop alerts you as soon as the timer ends.
Prevents boil-overs: the cooktop prevents your pans from boiling over, so you don't have to keep as close an eye on them.
Not for long pans: the cooktop is unsuitable for long pans and griddles.
Manually switch back: without the auto heat-up, you switch the setting back yourself.

I use this hob in my student room. Before this I had a cheap unbranded induction hob, which heated in 'punches'; one moment it would fire and the pan was briefly heated, the next it would shut off and cool the pan again. With this new hob, this happens in much faster punches, so you won't notice the difference and the pan is heated evenly. The steps between the different wattages/temperatures are also small, so you can set it very accurately. A disadvantage is that the hob makes quite a lot of noise when it is on. It is mainly the fan that ensures that it does not overheat, and the ticking of the turning on and off what you hear. It is therefore understandable that it produces quite a bit of noise. In addition, the operation takes some getting used to. By this I don't mean the operation of the touch keys (this works fine), but when and how long you have to press for certain functions. For example, to switch on a cooking phase, you have to press and hold the on/off button for a while. So it's not very complicated, but you should know it. Other than that, it looks nice and is sturdy, and I am very satisfied with it.

Touch controls are on top, next to pan. If the pan is boiling slowly and water comes into contact with the touch control, the appliance often goes to the highest setting. So from gentle cooking to very hard cooking, resulting in everything getting wet, or if the pan boils dry, even a risk of fire. It is truly incredible that the touch keys respond not only to fingers, but also to drops of water. If water comes into contact with the touch button, the settings change, very unsafe. This device should not be sold. I'm definitely going to put this on YouTube and email the link to etna and see what they say. Unsuitable for cooking.
