According to our headphones expert
You can set the strength of the noise canceling yourself.
With the Marshall Bluetooth app, you can personalize the sound reproduction via an equalizer.
Thanks to the battery life of 30 hours, you can listen to music for a long time without charging the headphones.
The headphones aren't water-resistant, so there's a bigger chance of water damage.
The headphones might feel heavy on your head.
With the Marshall Monitor II ANC, you can decide how much you want to reduce the ambient noise yourself. The noise canceling of these headphones is divided into 10 levels, with level 10 providing the most reduction. In public transport, you'll only hear the music and nothing else. Want to adjust the sound of the headphones? Download the Marshall Bluetooth app. This app allows you to set a sound profile via an equalizer, so you can enjoy your favorite songs even more. If noise canceling is on, the headphones last for 30 hours. When the battery runs out while you're on the go, you can continue listening with the included audio cable.
Note: Marshall does include a charging cable, but no charger. Use your own accessories, or purchase them separately.

Wearing comfort

Design
The Marshall Monitor II ANC are noise canceling headphones with a high wearing comfort. The ear cushions are made of soft leather, which makes them comfortable to wear. I am not very impressed with the noise canceling, since this function does not dampen all the ambient noise well.
High wearing comfort The leather ear cushions fall over my ears and are very soft. Because of this, I hardly feel like I have headphones on my head. The headband, like the ear cushions, is made of soft leather, making these headphones ideal for longer listening sessions. After several hours of listening to music my ears and head don't hurt.
Compact What I like about the design of the headphones is that they are compact. I easily turn the ear cups in either direction and simply fold the headphones. This makes it easy for the headphones to fit in my jacket pocket. A bag is included as standard, in which you protect it when you put it in your bag. I control the music easily with the multifunction button. I just think the button is too sensitive. When I want to hold the button, it sometimes shoots left or right.
Detailed sound I like the sound of the Marshall Monitor II ANC that the different tones are equivalent to each other. When I listen to rock music, I hear the drums as clearly as the guitars and vocals. What surprises me most here is that the bass is still powerful and not overpowering. This makes the music sound detailed.
Extensive app Sometimes I like to give the bass an extra boost. I do this in the Marshall Bluetooth app. I connect the headphones to the app and adjust the sound here via the equalizer to my wishes. I slide the different sound bands up or down and create my own favorite sound. I also adjust the noise canceling in the app. This way I determine how much ambient noise is muffled. It is only noticeable at the highest damping that I still hear certain sounds, such as cars passing by, through my music.

In terms of build quality, these headphones are really in a league of its own (better than Sony, Bose, Beats, etc). In terms of sound, it is very clear, but also slightly flatter in terms of bass compared to more extensive Marshalls. With the app you can adjust that slightly, but the 'punch' is missing. Furthermore, it falls well over-ear, but it is very heavy. Not uncomfortably heavy, but compared a Sony wm-1000xm3 really twice as heavy. Where you sometimes no longer notice that you have it on with other headphones, you will always notice that with these headphones.
ANC is a nice to have, but don't buy it for that. There are much better ones on the market. Maybe it will get even better with a software update, but now especially stable low tones are filtered out. He filters out voices, mopeds and other less monotonous sounds poorly.
You can also expect a hardshell case from headphones in this expensive segment. Unfortunately that is not the case. Also, an APTX and AAC coding is missing, despite that I don't suffer from reduced audio quality or audio lag.
Overall, a bit overpriced but definitely recommended.

It's a great pair of headphones. You can completely shut yourself off from everything around you while working from home, but you can adjust it in such a way that you still get everything in traffic. All kinds of music sound great because of the equalizer that comes in the app. If the battery of 30 hours is empty, you can easily switch to aux, so you'll never be without music
