You pour some detergent and water into the mixing cup and cleaning is automatic. The mixing cup and accessories can also simply go in the dishwasher. So very handy!
To prevent spillage, the blender also has a soft-start function and starts briefly at a low speed before the set program starts.
In any case, the blender passed my tests of homemade nut butter, baby food, soups, desserts & cocktails, sauces and healthy smoothies.
