According to our washing machine expert
Thanks to the AI Control connection between the washing machine and the dryer, the best drying cycle for your laundry is automatically selected.
With the fast program SuperSpeed, you wash 5kg of clothes in 59 minutes.
You use the AirWash program to freshen up musty laundry with air.
Doesn't have an AddWash door to add forgotten laundry.
The condenser isn't totally self-cleaning, which means it still needs maintenance.
With the Samsung WW90T636ALH + Samsung DV90T6240LH, you wash and dry large loads of laundry very energy-efficiently.
Drying performance
Design
The Samsung WW90T636ALH washing machine and Samsung DV90T6240LH dryer are a good match in terms of design and possibilities. Because both machines are economical, I easily save on my energy bill.
Automatic detergent dosing The Samsung washing machine has 2 Autodose reservoirs in the detergent drawer. I fill these reservoirs with my favorite detergent and fabric softener. As a result, the washing machine picks up exactly the right amount of detergent for all washes. I only have to set my preferences once for this. If I want to use special detergent, I indicate this with the touch buttons.
Digital display Both the washing machine and the dryer have a digital display. It takes some getting used to that there are no programs around the dial, but I quickly get used to the screen. With both machines I see my program choice on the left of the screen and the program duration on the right. For my first wash, I have a small pile of towels. Because I don't fill the entire drum, I use the SuperSpeed 59 program. As soon as everything is in the washing machine, I start the machine with the touch buttons. The washing and spinning happens relatively quietly, so I can just wash during a home working day.
Dry without settings After spinning, the washing machine gives a final signal. I also receive a push notification on my smartphone that the program has been completed. Because I want to store the towels the same day, I put them directly in the dryer. Thanks to AI Control, the dryer knows exactly what I have just washed via the washing machine. As a result, the dryer automatically selects the correct program. Handy, because this way washing and drying almost goes on autopilot. I also start the dryer with the touch start button. As with the washing machine, the tumble dryer makes relatively little noise.
Very generous filling weight After this I want to wash bed linen. I fill the 9 kilo drum and select the eco 40/60 program. Although this program washes very economically, I have to wait 3 hours and 36 minutes for the final signal. Because the dryer has the same load capacity, I put my clean, washed bed linen directly in the dryer. Thanks to the WiFi connection, the dryer also automatically suggests the best program. With both machines I wash and dry with economical programs, so that I can easily save energy.
Maintenance Although I don't have to think about maintenance after washing and drying, I do notice that maintenance with this washing machine and dryer set is easy. For example, the washing machine has a special program for drum cleaning. The fluff filter in the dryer prevents dust from entering the machine. For dust that does pass the filter, I use the supplied dust brush.

The grille of the heat exchanger must be cleaned every x weeks, which is fine. However, the grid to be cleaned quickly bends and you have to clean it with surgical precision to prevent this bending, if you don't do that, the dryer will work less economically and will no longer dry properly. This is a known problem of this Samsung machine and can be found on various forums. Unfortunately, I did not know this before, it is also nowhere in the reviews at coolblue, but as indicated, it has been raining complaints about this part for several years. I'll wait and see but this doesn't give confidence for long term durability.

I've had this combo for a few months now. Time for a review. The washer and dryer are both easy to operate. They also work the same way, so that's easy. Both the washer and dryer are relatively quiet. So turning it on at night is fine. And that's handy, because if you wash or dry on the ECO settings, the grease takes a lot of time. Fortunately, there are also shorter programs. In any case, you have many choices, you can adjust every program to taste. Something I never thought before, but the push notifications are super handy. I get a signal on my mobile when the laundry is ready, and you can see how long it will take. Saves a few times walking to the washing machine or dryer. Good equipment for this price. Nice and big, many options, look neat and are easy to operate. Oh yes, one more thing. The sounds. Those are over the top. Fortunately, you can turn off the music at the end of the program, otherwise I would have sent them back immediately.
