o Design The finish of this TV is high-quality and luxurious, the edges are made of aluminum and exudes quality, I own the C2 version myself, but I think the G2 is a nicer design. When you unpack the TV, you see that this is a premium model, that's how it feels. with the c models, the screen bends, because it is very thin at the top, but with this G2, the screen is the same thickness throughout, which makes it feel robust and does not bend. o Seamless wall mounting This TV G2 is specially designed to be mounted as tightly as possible to the wall, you can immediately see this at the back where you can put all the cables in the gutters and close them with the supplied caps, this is very handy. of course a wall bracket is included, and for most do-it-yourselfers it should be no problem to mount it. o Painting look The great thing is that this TV has gallery option, here you can use the TV as a painting, it has quite a few types of paintings in the TV itself, but you could also display your own photos. You can also enable the gallery mode as a screensaver, which is very handy, and you therefore do not display a static image for too long, since with OLED there is still a possibility of burn-in. (I have OLED for 10 years and never experienced this) o Image quality - Sharpness and brightness - Color reproduction - Deep blacks - Contrast - Image quality from different angles Out of the box, this TV gives a very tight image, I have turned off all tools that process the image and set the TV to cinema setting, this delivers a super neat image. Image quality is really crisp and even better than the C models as I can compare to this, I didn't expect to see the difference, but definitely I did. Colors are more clear and brighter, you will definitely notice this with dolby vision content and HDR, it is really the best TV in its class in my opinion. Black is of course really black with Oled, since Oled has no backlight and can switch off each pixel individually, this is already a reason to take an OLED TV. When you use Amazon the TV jumps to cinematographer mode, this is how the director really wants the movie to display colors The viewing angle on OLED is of course the best, the colors simply remain the same from every angle, this is of course not the case with normal LED. o Sound Most OLED TV or LED do not have optimal sound and are usually just weak, soon you have to take a sounbar, but I am certainly surprised, this TV delivers very good sound, I must say the TV has been tested in the bedroom so the space is smaller than the sitting room. The TV also supports Dolby Atmos and this sounds very good and spacious, there is also a surprising amount of Bass in the speakers, but of course you will never get the real atmos effect since you have minimal speakers. DTS is no longer supported by LG since 2021, but this should not be a problem for most users as all streaming services use Dolby. o Ease of use The Magic Remote remains one of the most fun remotes to work with. You control the cursor on the screen, just by pointing at it. That is ideal in your smart TV use. . You can also program the numeric keys as shortcuts for your favorite apps. There are already separate shortcuts for Netflix, Prime Video, Rakuten TV and Disney+. I had the opportunity to test this LG TV (55") for a few weeks. Wow what a change from my existing 40" LED TV. What beautiful colors and a nice contract. Black is really black now. The entire living room has been upgraded as a result. It really is a mega change. It is a pleasure to watch movies/series. The image is also excellent during the day with a lot of daylight. The design is sleek; when the TV is on you don't see any edges and it's like a painting (especially in gallery mode). It's a big TV, we had the supplier put it up. This went very quickly. What is very nice is that the TV hangs tightly on the wall, it now seems as if you are looking through the living room wall. Especially with nature shots / vistas. This TV can only be hung (not standing). It's nice that the bracket is included. After this, the TV sits tight to the wall and you can't actually turn it. You can still remove the TV from the wall, but only to connect cables or a USB. Installation is actually very fast, connect to the WIFI and then it works. The webOS (version 7.2) works very smoothly, the controls don't falter and you can quickly scroll through the menus. There is a lot to see in the webOS: you can download/update apps. The menu is customizable so you can put your favorite apps (Netflix / Prime / HBO etc) in your order. It is annoying that you can not adjust the top bar, here are always Disney titles (so advertising), you can quickly pass by with the Magic Remote. There are many apps to download. Many are free to download but some cost money because you have to subscribe. Several titles (Netflix / Prime / Disney / Rakuten TV have their own button on the Magic Remote. I had never heard of Rakuten TV but this appears to be a free channel with a lot of series, movies etc. The TV keeps itself up to date, I experienced that there was an update after which the menu looked different again. It's nice to see this being developed further. Using the Magic Remote remote is also really Magic. You will see a cursor on the image that you can move by moving the Magic Remote, this works very naturally. This works quickly when logging into Netflix if you have to enter your login details, for example. Optionally, you can also download an app on your smartphone "LG ThinQ"; this allows you to perform simple tasks on your TV, I don't see any added value in this. What works fine is the AirPlay option on the TV (with Iphone); now you can easily display videos and photos from your smartphone on the TV. I have not used the speech recognition function, but sometimes it works "unintentionally". When watching a movie, I had several times that the TV thinks I want to give a voice command, while this is not the case. Disable: 1 x then you get GalleryPlay; you can choose from themes (views or eg paintings); You can download themes so that you can use your TV as a painting. Not many themes are available yet. 2 x on the off button then the TV goes into standby. I haven't used it much, TV obviously uses more energy. You can read the user manual completely on the TV itself, via the menu. What strikes me is that the TV contains all kinds of diagnostic functions, I have not used these but may be useful when the TV gets older. Sound: I use a SONOS soundbar, it is connected with a digital OUT cable to the TV. However, you can also switch to the TV internal sound via the menu. The TV sound still contains quite a lot of volume, of course not comparable with an external audio source. Sound in combination with Sonos soundbar is great.

What a fantastic television this is. Let's start at the beginning. The product is well packaged and the installation is easy to use. There is a good video explanation about how the product should be attached and what you have to take into account. You attach the television seamlessly to the wall and this gives a very sleek result. No other braces can match this. The edge is also neatly finished and it is a feast for the eyes. And now the most important thing: the image. The image quality is great and you can clearly see the difference between 4K and OLED 4K. The depth of the blacks is one of the most striking things along with the contrast between the bright colors. The television is also easy to operate and has everything a modern Smart TV should have. I myself stream everything wirelessly, but this is no problem for this TV and is not reflected in the image quality or when loading your favorite movies and series. All in all, this television is well worth the money and I recommend this product to anyone looking for a new television. Utterly great.
