The OPPO A96 is an entry-level smartphone with a good price-quality ratio. The battery lasts a long time and I charge it quickly. The display and the performance meet my expectations, only the cameras are a bit less.

Battery and charging time The A96 easily lasts a whole day. I actually use my smartphone all day long. I mainly play music via Spotify or watch videos on YouTube. I also scroll through my timeline on Facebook and send messages via WhatsApp. After a full day of work, I saw that the battery percentage was still around 30 percent. I'm sure the battery will last longer than one day if you only use your smartphone for social media and calling. I charge the battery with the supplied 33 watt fast charger. The battery is at 50 percent within half an hour. You need a little more than one hour for a full battery with this fast charger.

Sharp screen The screen has an average size of 6.59 inches. I can easily operate the screen with one hand, but if I want to click something in an upper corner, I need two hands. I don't mind this myself, because I'm used to this from other smartphones. For a smartphone in this price range, I think the screen is of good quality. The Full HD screen is sharp and the screen refreshes 90 times per second. I especially notice this when I scroll through my timeline on Facebook, because it looks smooth.
