Because it runs Android, you can easily customize it, install additional software and etc. It also does very good job in recognizing hands writing in different languages.

If you come from Apple environment and not so got used to Android you may find UI as very cumbersome to navigate. Do not expect easy Plug&Play here because you may need to spend some more time to enable synchronization of this device with your Mac and transfer files from there. I would also expect that option to erase drawing can be done with another side of stylus (like Remarkable 2), but it is not the case. There are some Chinese artifacts left in the software (as pre-installed language) that were probably used to test software during the production. Maybe it depends on my familiarity with Android but I couldn't uninstall them. After some deliberation I decided to return this tablet.
