According to our mirrorless camera expert
Thanks to the included extra battery, you can easily photograph all day without charging it.
You can take sharp photos of fast actions at 40 images per second during a sports match, for example.
The autofocus system recognizes people, horses, planes, trains, and more.
The large size makes this camera model less suitable for vlogging and traveling.
With the Canon EOS R6 Mark II + Battery, photographers or videographers won't have a problem going a whole day on the go without recharging their battery. You receive an extra Jupio ProLine LP-E6NH battery. If your current battery is empty, replace it and continue taking pictures right away. The Canon EOS R6 Mark II is a versatile camera for the professional photographer. Thanks to the high speed, you can sharply capture fast actions. In difficult lighting conditions, you can take detailed pictures thanks to the 24.2-megapixel sensor and the 7-stop image stabilization. You can also record in 4K resolution at 60 frames per second. Through oversampling, you can use 6K images to make extra-detailed 4K recordings.
SpeedBecause of its speed, the R6 Mark II is suitable for action photography. With the electronic shutter, you can take photos at up to 40 images per second. The mechanical shutter reaches a maximum of 12 images per second. This way, you can freeze the movement of your subject.
Autofocus with subject recognitionThe smart autofocus recognizes different subjects and keeps them in focus when they move. For example, it effortlessly focuses on people, horses, planes, and trains.
Photographing in the darkThanks to the large full-frame 24.2-megapixel sensor, you can take clear photos in dark situations. These images also have little noise, which is useful when photographing concerts or parties. The built-in image stabilization reduces motion blur up to 7 stops. Because of this, you can use slower shutter speeds when taking photos handheld.
I think the Canon EOS R6 Mark II is a very user-friendly camera, which is suitable for novice to professional photographers. The camera excels in the autofocus system, which accurately follows subjects. The low weight makes it easy to take the camera with you, but my hands get tired quickly in combination with the heavy lens RF 24-105 mm f/4 lens that I use.
Familiar design I'm familiar with Canon cameras, so the design of the Canon EOS R6 Mark II feels familiar. As soon as I take it out of the box, I notice the low weight of the body. I can easily take this camera with me, so I walk into town. I use it with the RF 24-105mm f/4 lens and notice that my hands get tired quickly. With a light prime lens, you can easily take the camera with you for a whole day.
Accurate autofocus tracking The autofocus of this camera works very fast. In a busy shopping street he recognizes people, cars, trams and dogs. A big advantage is the autofocus tracking. This keeps a moving subject accurately and sharply in focus. When the cyclist I'm following disappears behind a tree, the camera focuses directly on her as she emerges from behind. You select a subject of your choice, but in busy places the camera sometimes switches too quickly to a different subject.
Speed The camera shoots very quickly at 40 frames per second. This allows me to capture every movement of passers-by. I shoot a running dog and don't miss any of the action, resulting in cute shots. The camera does not buffer quickly when I take many photos in a row.
Eye Detection The eye detection of this camera deserves extra attention, because it works very well. The camera automatically focuses on people's eyes, so I can quickly take portrait photos. The camera focuses on the closest eye. If you do not want this, you can indicate a preference for left or right in the settings.
Filming in 4K at 60 fps without crop I also easily make videos with this camera. I shoot these images in high 4K quality at 60 frames per second. An advantage is that the EOS R6 Mark II takes these images without a crop. Most cameras crop the image in this resolution, so you lose parts of your image. That is not the case with this camera, so I use the full image.

Very happy with my switch from EOS R to R6MII. The improved autofocus in particular was an important point for me. The automatic detection of people/animals/objects also works well. Eye detection is very convenient to use. No more 'sharp nose, blurry eyes'. The main thing, however, was the double SD slot. That is a must in my case. You can also shoot up to 40 images per second with the electronic shutter. In short: Full frame, lots of light, little noise, fast autofocus. I'm happy with it.
The housing could have been better in my opinion. Feels a bit cheap, but opinions differ. Despite the fact that I always use canon, the menu sometimes misleads me.
Example: For a function you have two options 'Enable' and 'Disable'. You come across the function in the menu and see 'Enable'..... Well... that is only possible if it is currently switched off, right? So no.. With Canon this means that the function is switched on. Even knowing this, it's still confusing.

The smart AI features allow a child to do the laundry. Eye tracking so that faces are always in focus is super useful. You rarely have a shot that is out of focus!
EF lenses + an adapter can save a lot of money, but the RF lenses are great in use and quality.
