Quick and easy migration from my DS214play to the DS423+. Simply place the 2 hard drives from my old NAS in the same order in the new NAS. The DS423+ makes a little more noise than my previous NAS, but also keeps the drives a little cooler. I mainly use my NAS as a file server, surveillance station and storage for photos and home videos.
