According to our television expert
More detail from older content: the built-in A8 AI Processor 4K upscales the resolution of older content to 4K.
Realistic HDR images: you can watch realistic HDR images on this TV thanks to the 10-bit screen.
See every detail: thanks to the 4K resolution, you can see every detail in your favorite movies and series.
Black parts aren't always truly black: due to the Edge-Lit Local Dimming, black parts of the image aren't always truly black.
Thanks to the high brightness and bright colors, I think the LG 86QNED85T6C is an ideal television for films and series. I am completely absorbed in my films and it feels like I am in the cinema.
Lifelike colours I am very satisfied with the picture quality of this television. The colors on the screen look realistic. They are never dull and actually pop off the screen. This large color range is due to the quantum dot layer behind the screen. Quantum dots are very small particles that all have their own color. I see this in the bright, rich colors of the screen. When I watch a nature documentary, it feels like I'm walking through the jungle myself.
Clear screen with few reflections In my living room I have a large window with lots of sunlight. Fortunately, this television has a bright screen, making the screen clearly visible even on a sunny day. I see few annoying reflections, only in very dark scenes. The television has excellent contrast, but this becomes somewhat lower when the sun shines on my screen. This makes details in the shadows less noticeable. That is less useful when I am watching an exciting movie or detective. Fortunately, I don't have this problem in a dark room. The contrast is slightly higher along the edges of the screen than in the middle of the screen, because the dimmable zones are only along these edges.
Wide viewing angle When my family comes over, they like to watch Formula 1. Some of the people sit in the corner of the room, diagonally in front of the television. Fortunately, the image is still clearly visible thanks to the wide viewing angle. They see almost no distortions, so they follow the race well. It becomes slightly less bright, but remains bright enough that everyone can watch without any problems.
Easy to use with built-in Chromecast Normally I always connect a Chromecast to my television, so that I can easily stream series and films from my smartphone. With this LG television I no longer use a separate Chromecast, because it has a built-in Chromecast. I think this works very easily, I always have my favorite content at hand. This also frees up all HDMI ports for other peripherals, such as my Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and a laptop. Thanks to the low input lag and high refresh rate of 100 Hz, I also enjoy gaming on the television. My games almost never stutter.

I was allowed to test this TV for a period, below are my findings.
The design and attachment of the feet are really very nicely done. 2 options in terms of width, and also 2 options in terms of height, this allows you to set it higher and place a soundbar neatly underneath.
The image quality is a bit double. it is beautifully clear, and with normal series watching during the day everything is very nicely visible. the colors are also very nice then. I only find the blooming very disappointing for this price. that is to say that with small bright parts on a dark screen a gray spot appears, and that part therefore looks a bit blurry. If you are looking for a TV with good HDR details, I would personally look at a direct LED, or a mini LED. Edge lit shows its disadvantages here, although with SDR and normal series for example it is quite nice.

During the test period, we evaluated the LG 65QNED85T 65-inch television for a month. Below are some of the topics we discussed regarding this television.
The design of the television is particularly attractive, especially for those looking for a large screen. It is ideal for spacious rooms, where it exudes a modern aesthetic. The television is lightweight, allowing it to be installed by one person.
The screen quality is excellent and is among the best we have experienced to date. The 4K Ultra HD resolution is displayed vividly while watching movies and games, with a high pixel density. Even the smallest details, such as an actor's hair, are displayed clearly. In addition, users have the option to select different picture modes, such as "Cinema", which significantly improves the viewing experience for movies.
However, the sound quality is somewhat substandard compared to the other features. Although the audio is generally satisfactory, adjustments are often necessary depending on the application used; For example, the sound level is softer on Netflix compared to Videoland. A noticeable difference in sound levels is observed when switching to gaming. Fortunately, the television offers sound modes that allow users to optimize the settings for gaming or watching movies, allowing for a personalized audio experience.
The television is user-friendly for all age groups. The installation process is available in Dutch and is easy to follow. Users can download popular applications, including news platforms and various streaming services. In addition, there are various games available for children, which increases the overall entertainment value of the television.
The LG 65QNED85T also has a range of Smart TV features, including internet access, access to social media, voice search capabilities and mobile streaming. These functionalities significantly enrich the user experience and can be accessed directly via the television.
