Sony ULT Field 1 White

The Sony ULT Field 1 is a compact speaker that has a solid bass. I personalize the sound in the app, so I can enjoy music my way. The sound is a bit flat when the volume is turned down and the ULT Bass mode is not turned on.

ULT Bass mode There is a ULT button on the speaker that I use to turn on the ULT Bass. In this mode, the speaker amplifies the bass and produces more powerful sound. I hear the difference clearly, because the bass really comes through in this mode. In addition, I also hear more detail in the music with this mode on. I think it's a shame that the music briefly interrupts with a sound effect when I press the button.

Great sound The sound is fine. If I don't have the ULT Bass mode on, the sound sounds a bit flat. This means I hear fewer details. With the ULT Bass mode on, the sound sounds fuller and more powerful. This is partly due to the harder bass tones, because they produce strong sounds. That's why I prefer to listen to music with this mode on. If I want to hear the music clearly from the other side of my room, I turn up the volume. Otherwise the music will not come into its own.

Sony Music Center App In the app I adjust the sound with the equalizer. This is how I control the low, middle and high tones. I like to hear the vocals in the music clearly, so I turn up the mids and highs a bit.

Compact design The carrying cord makes it easy to take the speaker with me. In addition, it is compact, which makes it easy for me to put it in a bag. I have fairly small hands, but it fits comfortably in my hand. The logo is reflective, so you see rainbow colors in the logo. I think this is a nice detail.

I have used this speaker in recent weeks both indoors (living room) and outdoors (going to the water with friends) and am very pleased with it! The sound is top-notch in all circumstances (as you would expect from Sony) and with the ULT button you can switch on specific settings so that certain music sounds even better!

Connecting is also very easy and the carrying cord makes it easy to hang it on something or carry it in your hand. In the latter case, the box does not feel heavy, so that is great. Furthermore, you can play music for quite a long time on a full battery!

If Sony would have given this speaker lighting effects and included a (soft) carrying case as standard, this would have been perfect.

For my vacation, I was looking for a good portable Bluetooth speaker. I hesitated for a long time between the JBL Flip 7 and a Bose model, as both brands are known for their excellent sound quality. Ultimately, I chose the Sony speaker, and I have absolutely no regrets.

The speaker really surprised me positively. The sound is clear, powerful, and well-balanced, with a nice deep bass without being boomy. Even at higher volumes, the sound quality remains consistent, which is great for outdoor use, such as at the beach or, in my case, by the pool. The battery life is more than sufficient for a full day of music listening, and charging is quick and easy.

The speaker's design looks sleek and modern. It feels sturdy and is clearly of good quality. It's also water-resistant, which is ideal for vacation use or a day at the pool.

All in all, I'm very happy I chose the Sony. It completely met my expectations and really gave my vacation a musical boost. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a portable speaker with top sound and reliability!
