PocketBook Era Color

Starts up fast. Screen clear. Responds quickly to touches

Looks nice, feels good in the hand and is flexible: books can be put on it with a cable, via dropbox or via email. Nice screen, although darker than a regular (non-color) e-reader. The back is made of a kind of rubber and does not slide quickly. The buttons are not completely optimal, but you quickly get used to that. You can buy a Pocketbook cover, then you remove a strip of plastic from the e-reader and click the cover onto it. This keeps the reader thin and reasonably protected, also looks good. If you want more security, you better order a different cover. Comparison with Kobo: both are good e-readers, both with their own pros and cons. The Pocketbook looks much better. My personal preference is strongly for Pocketbook. Color: nice gimmick but I don't really use it. It's nice to see the covers of the books in color. I don't actually read comic books, but I did try one. Images are small but doable. Lighting is pleasant and even.

The Era is faster than the Lux3 I had. The screen has much more real estate, making it look like a real book. I tried to make the colors more vibrant, but I can't seem to get it right.
