The TCL QD Mini-led C81K is a top-class mini-led TV. Thanks to the mini-led local dimming and the QLED screen, I can watch bright images with rich colors. Films and series appear realistically, even in direct sunlight. The TV also has built-in Bang & Olufsen speakers and subwoofers, so you don't need a soundbar if you're not a film lover.
Suitable for any living room The QD mini-led screen makes the C81K suitable for any room. Behind the screen are thousands of small LED lights that dim or illuminate individually. In direct sunlight, I hardly see any reflections, colors are realistic and dark parts of the image are deep black. In a scene with fireworks, every color shade appears on the screen and I don't see a gray glow around the light sources. So do you have a living room with a lot of natural light or do you have a lot of lamps? Then I definitely recommend the C81K.
Very good sound The TCL C81K has built-in Bang & Olufsen speakers and subwoofers. This makes the sound realistic and deep, especially when compared to the speakers of other televisions. I can hear every detail of a film or series. Even at higher volumes, I find the sound realistic. If you are a film lover, then a separate sound system such as a soundbar is still recommended. Do you not watch that many films or series, or do you mainly play games with headphones? Then the speakers of the C81K are more than sufficient.
Luxurious design Compared to the TCL C61K and C71K, the C81K has a more luxurious appearance. The TV stands on one foot and has a beautiful brushed metal finish. The foot is somewhat heavier than the 2 feet of the C61K, but is just as easy to attach. The material not only looks luxurious, but also feels sturdy and reliable. I would take this TV with me without any worries when moving.

After unpacking the TV, it's immediately noticeable how incredibly large and flat it is. It's a beautifully designed and high-quality TV. After installing it, which was very quick and easy, I extensively tested the picture quality with movies, PlayStation games, and regular TV. The picture certainly didn't disappoint; it's generally very sharp, with good brightness and contrast, and vibrant colors. It was my first mini-LED TV, and coming from LCD, this is a truly great upgrade. In my opinion, the menu interfaces are fast, intuitive, and easy to use. The sound quality is also surprisingly positive for such a thin TV; the speakers are made in collaboration with B&O, and you can definitely tell by their pristine quality. In short, a very good TV for a very competitive price.

The TCL 65C81K arrived neatly packaged in a practical box. The manual is quite limited, but fortunately, installation is largely self-explanatory. However, for less technical users—such as seniors—the lack of clear instructions can be a barrier. The first attempt to set up the TV via the Google Home app failed, but manual installation went smoothly afterward. Once operational, the Google TV environment is immediately noticeable: clear, intuitive, and fast. A nice bonus is the integration with the Google Nest doorbell: when the doorbell rings, an image automatically appears on the screen. Very convenient. In terms of image quality, this TCL TV is truly impressive. The brightness is high, the colors are vibrant, and the contrast is excellent. The sound is also good: the internal speakers deliver a full and pleasant sound that is more than sufficient for everyday use. One minor drawback is the CI+ module, which regularly indicated it wasn't positioned correctly. It turns out that the module's placement is quite precise. Ultimately, it worked, but it took a while for the module to make proper contact. The TV is easy to control with the TCL app, which is much more convenient for text input than the minimalist remote control. All in all, a very well-equipped smart TV with many modern features and excellent picture quality. Highly recommended.
