RODE Wireless GO Gen 3 Pink

I think the Rode Wireless GO 3 is one of the best wireless microphones I've used so far. The set includes 2 reliable transmitters that record clear and distinct sound and one receiver. However, I find the transmitters quite large, which means they don't always sit comfortably on my clothes.

User-friendly set The Wireless GO 3 is suitable for many different usage situations, from social media content to professional interviews. This makes the set very versatile in use. When I film outside, I find the large range of 260 meters useful. I can easily walk away and still record clear sound. I do notice that the sound fades away more quickly when I stand with my back to the receiver. So always make sure you look at the receiver when you film from further away. The set also includes a handy charging hub. I plug one USB C charging cable into the hub and connect the 2 transmitters and the receiver to it. This way I can easily charge all 3 parts at the same time. I do find it a pity that there is no wireless charging case in the set, so I don't charge the microphones on the go.

Clear, consistent sound The sound of the microphones sounds exactly as I would expect from a professional microphone: clear, distinct and full. I take my social media videos to a higher level with this, but also use the microphones when I record an interview for a company. An additional advantage is that the microphone supports 32-bit float recordings. In short, this ensures that my audio remains clear if, for example, I record a very loud sound. If I accidentally record such a disturbance, I can easily correct it afterwards. This means that I don't have to keep an eye on the gain while filming. I like that, because I often film alone. For short TikTok videos, the 32-bit float support is not a very big addition, but I can imagine that this is indispensable for professional videographers or interviewers.

Handy app I find the Rode app very clear and user-friendly. I can see which microphone is on here and if I use 2 microphones, I can choose whether to record one or 2 separate audio tracks. I can also dim the lights of the microphones and receiver in the app. This makes them less noticeable during a recording. If I monitor a recording, I can also mute a microphone in the app. This is useful if one speaker does not have to say anything for a while.
