When I travel, I prefer to take a light system camera with me to film and photograph. That's why the Sony A6700 is an ideal travel companion for me. This system camera has a compact design. I wear it around my neck in combination with my Sony 35mm lens all day, without it feeling heavy. The photos I take with this camera are pin-sharp, as I'm used to from Sony cameras. Also in the field of video I am very satisfied with the image quality. I capture a special vacation with both photos and videos. The large color range conveys the atmosphere of my destination well. I do regret that the camera doesn't have a double memory card slot, so I don't make backups of my images.
Fast autofocus
I like to take street and portrait photos. I find it important that the camera focuses quickly and accurately, because my subject sometimes moves quickly. Fortunately, the A6700's subject recognition helps me with this. A focus frame immediately appears around both people and animals. I like that I can easily focus on a subject that passes quickly, such as a cyclist.
User-friendly operation
I think a big advantage of the A6700 is the new dial on the front. When I take a picture through the viewfinder, I simply adjust the aperture with this button. Thanks to the electronic viewfinder, I can immediately see whether the exposure is as desired. This makes shooting a lot easier. I do regret that the viewfinder is on the left side of the body. When shooting from the touchscreen, my hand sometimes accidentally covers the viewfinder. This automatically turns the screen black. I would have liked it better if the viewfinder was in the middle.
High quality vlogs
Thanks to the fully tiltable screen, I also use the camera for vlogs. I easily film myself this way. The footage I record looks detailed because the camera oversamples 6K videos. This uses extra pixels to create a sharp 4K image. I take my vlogs to a higher, almost professional level. When I film myself talking, I find the camera on the heavy side. I easily solve this with a loose grip or gimbal, so I can hold it a little lower. This way I can easily make a longer vlog.
