Canon EOS R6 Mark III 50mm Portrait Kit

The Canon EOS R6 Mark III has both: speed and high resolution. This makes the camera versatile. It's just a bit large for travel.

Fast autofocus with subject recognition I take the camera out on the street and capture various vehicles. The camera recognizes them quickly. With a car, it even immediately focuses on the driver. When a helicopter flies overhead, I try to focus on it. Unfortunately, this doesn't work as well. The helicopter is too small, so the camera takes longer to recognize the subject. When I see two cats on the street, the camera immediately focuses on their eyes. I notice that the camera sees the orange cat better than the gray one. The gray cat is less visible because of the bushes in the background.

Register People Priority

A new feature of the R6 Mark III is Register People Priority. With this feature, I register people so the camera recognizes them. I can register up to 10 people. This is useful in a large group. It allows the camera to focus on the people I want to capture. This is useful, for example, during a wedding, where the bride and groom are the most important to have in focus. This means you worry less about blurry images.

High image quality in photos and videos The EOS R6 Mark III has more megapixels than its predecessor, namely 32.5. This allows me to capture detailed images. Thanks to the full-frame sensor, my photos look clear, even when I'm standing in the dark stairwell of my apartment building. I film in 7K resolution at 60 frames per second. This high resolution means my videos have a lot of detail. When filming at 60 frames per second, I slow down the footage into slow-motion videos. This allows me to highlight action moments even more. Another unique feature of the camera is that it films in RAW. This is comparable to photographing in RAW. I can easily crop the videos without losing image quality, for example. I also have more options in post-processing. When filming in 7K, the camera uses the entire sensor. I then film in a 3:2 aspect ratio instead of 16:9. The image is therefore a bit taller and squarer. This makes it easier to extract horizontal and vertical images from a single video. This way, I share them on YouTube and TikTok, for example.
