AEG GI8234B1SO SatelliteClean Pro

I recently bought a new house that had a very old dishwasher in it, and I replaced it with this AEG model. I can definitely see the difference. First of all, it is quiet during the program. Of course, you can hear it running, but the sound isn't that loud. The washing results have been excellent so far; I haven't found any food residue on the plates and the cutlery comes out sparkling clean. The system they call SatelliteClean seems to do a good job of reaching all corners compared to a standard dishwasher. It automatically opens the door when the program is finished (my old dishwasher didn't do that...) and projects a beam of light onto the floor to indicate that it is on. In terms of space, it also seems smartly laid out, and I quite like the red color they chose for some internal details. I am not a huge fan of the touchscreen buttons, as they can be tricky to operate with some water on them, but so far they work fine. In any case, you can use the AEG app to operate the appliance and better understand all the functions thanks to the detailed explanations. I also have other AEG appliances at home, so it is nice that I can control them all via the same app. Finally, compliments on the installation by Coolblue: in less than 30 minutes the old dishwasher was gone and the new one was connected and ready for use :)

We recently installed this dishwasher, and it is already a huge upgrade compared to the dishwasher we "inherited" from the previous owners of our house. The AEG is a spacious dishwasher with sturdy racks. At the top, you can even clamp wine glasses so they don't get damaged. At the bottom, you have the SatelliteClean, which cleans every corner of the dishwasher. So far, we are very satisfied with the dishwasher, and the dishes come out really clean. We still need to set up the SmartSelect Connect, but I wonder if this will add much value, since the dishwasher opens up after the cycle anyway to prevent your dishes from smelling. Another advantage I found during installation is that a plastic adhesive strip is included that you can stick to the underside of your countertop, so that the hot air from your dishwasher doesn't damage your worktop.

After using it for a few days, I am very positive about the AEG GI8234B1SO. The dishwasher feels solid and the finish is of a high standard. The stainless steel inner tub, in particular, inspires confidence in the appliance's durability.

The cleaning results are excellent. Even burnt-on pans and plates are cleaned well without me having to use expensive detergents. The automatic door opening at the end of the program also works well. As a result, the dishes dry noticeably better and less moisture is left behind.

A feature I really appreciate is SmartSelect Connect via the app. This allows you to easily set up extra programs and options. For someone who cooks a lot, the relatively short programs are a major advantage. Additionally, many programs still reach a temperature of 65 degrees, something that is becoming increasingly rare with other brands these days.

Importantly, the dishwasher can only be switched on when the door is open. During testing without the kitchen front, I initially thought something was wrong. It is also important to note that you need an 8mm socket wrench to properly adjust the rear container and thus level the appliance. Furthermore, the instructions did not clearly state under "first use" that you need to add 1 liter of water after adding salt. This is only mentioned later on; otherwise, it won't start.

Despite these minor drawbacks, I am very satisfied. It is a premium dishwasher that more than lives up to its price and reputation.
