Sony WH-1000XM4C Purple

I can easily take the Sony WH-1000XM4C with me everywhere thanks to its lightweight, foldable design. The headphones deliver clear and detailed sound with good bass. This allows me to enjoy balanced sound. Unfortunately, I do not listen to 360-degree audio because I do not have a supported app.

Clear and detailed sound The headphones deliver clear sound with plenty of detail. As a result, I hear vocals clearly and distinctly. At the same time, the instruments in the background music sound realistic. This creates a beautiful layering in the sound. The bass tones sound deep and provide a present beat, but do not overpower. I enjoy listening to this balanced sound with a slight emphasis on the bass tones. Sometimes I hear a sharp sound with sibilants and cymbals, but this depends on the song. Unfortunately, I do not listen to 360-degree audio because I do not have a supporting app for that.

Convenient foldable design The headphones feel light and flexible. This makes it easy for me to carry them in my bag and grab them quickly. I control my music easily with the right earcup. For instance, I tap twice anywhere on the earcup to pause or resume the music. I switch tracks with a swipe forward or backward across the earcup. Swiping up or down on the earcup adjusts the volume. I turn on Quick Attention as soon as I place my entire palm on the earcup. This lowers the volume, allowing me to quickly listen to what is happening around me. I find this handy when I want to hear an announcement on the train. The headphones have wear detection, so the music automatically pauses when I take them off. This way, I don't miss any of my music or podcast.

Good noise cancelling The noise cancelling on the headphones is good. I don't hear constant sounds. For instance, I don't notice conversations at the office, and I don't hear any train noises on public transport. I do hear sudden sounds, such as when someone laughs loudly or a horn in traffic, through the noise cancelling. I don't mind this, because it allows me to pay attention when something happens suddenly.
