Gas stoves

With a gas stove, you cook on gas. The oven is usually electric. You need a gas connection in your kitchen for this.

How do I know if the electric connector of my stove is suitable for my house?

It's important to have the right connector for a stove. Otherwise, it won't work like it should, or a fuse can blow.

• 1 phase: This is a standard connector with a regular socket, and it provides 3680W at most. All 1-phase stoves are gas stoves, because you need less power for this.

• 2 phases: There's a double-pole breaker in your fuse box. These are 2 circuits with 1 handle. The socket in the kitchen is a Perilex socket with 5 openings. The 2-phase stoves work with SmartInduction, so they often work on both 2 and 3 phases.

• 3 phases: There's a power circuit in your fuse box. These are 4 circuits with 1 handle. The socket in the kitchen is a Perilex socket with 5 openings. Most electric stoves require a 3-phase connector.

What width stove do I need?

What width stove do I need?

A standard stove is 60cm wide and has 4 cooking zones. Would you like to cook more elaborately or do you have a large kitchen? A 90cm extra-wide stove is then a good choice. These have 5 or 6 cooking zones and a very spacious oven. Do you have a small kitchen or never cook extensively? A narrow stove with a 50cm width will suit you best. Just remember that this won't fit 4 large pans at once.
