How do I measure the nismatics of my 1-door refrigerator?
Step 1: measure the niche height
Remove your fridge from the niche before you start measuring. Use a tape measure and tension it from the top of the niche to the bottom. Keep the tape measure tight so you'll have the accurate measurements. Write down these measurements. Your new fridge cannot be higher than this.
Step 2: Measure the niche depth
To measure the niche depth, it's again important that you tighten the tape measure properly. An average fridge is usually 55 centimeters deep, but there are also different measurements. That's why you should always measure the niche depth. Place the tape measure at the very back of the niche and pull it towards you. Now, you have the niche depth.
Step 3: Measure the niche width
Tension the tape measure between the left and right sides of the niche. As with the previous measurements, it's important that you tighten the tape measure well. Write down this measurement so that you can check it carefully on the installation drawing.
Step 4: Write down the dimensions and check the installation drawing
You have measured and written down all measurements. You'll find an installation drawing for each fridge on our product page. Compare your written dimensions to the dimensions on the installation drawing. Do your measurements fall within the range? If so, the fridge that you have in mind fits. Do you want to search for the right niche dimensions right away? If so, check your niche height and cabinet door height in the product filter.
Step 5: Check the hinge system
There are 2 types of hinge systems: the sliding door system and the door-on-door system. With a sliding door system, both the furniture door and the fridge have their own pair of hinges. The door isn't directly on the fridge, but uses a guide rail instead. With a door-on-door system, there's only 1 hinge. The cabinet door is directly on the fridge. If you have a sliding door system, it's possible to switch to a door-on-door system. With a door-on-door system, it's not possible to switch.

Do you have an IKEA kitchen? If so, pay attention. Not all fridges fit into an IKEA kitchen. This depends on your current fridge and the placement of the appliance. You can read more about this in our article.
