Announced: Apple Mac mini with M4 chips (2024)
The Mac mini gets a new design for the first time in years. Apple announced this via a press release on their website on 29 October. For the first time in years, the Mac mini gets a completely new look. It's smaller, but a bit higher. This makes it look a little like the Apple TV. There's a lot of power in the small casing: the M4 and M4 Pro. This makes the mini PC strong enough for demanding photo and video editing. You can easily connect the Mac mini to up to 2 screens, so you can smoothly work in multiple programs at once. You can use the 4 USB-C ports for other peripherals.
Differences compared to the Mac mini M2 (2023)
Almost everything of the Mac mini has changed: the design, the ports, the processors, and the size. The largest difference compared to the Apple Mac mini (2023) is the processor. The M4 chips are faster and more powerful than the M2 chips. Even the starter model begins at 16GB RAM, so you can run multiple tasks at once even smoother. In short, a lot of power for a mini PC.
