Expert review HP Instant Ink

When you print, my printer indicates that I almost ran out of ink. Afterwards, I can read more about HP Instant Ink in the HP Smart app. The app sends me to the registration page. HP recommends a print plan of 50 pages per month. After I enter my payment information, I've registered for HP Instant Ink. The registration takes about 5 minutes and is very easy.

Now that I've registered for HP Instant Ink, I wait for my new cartridges. I don't have to do anything, because they're sent to my home automatically. I receive the first cartridges 5 working days after I registered. Even though it's nice to not have to do anything for my cartridges, I had to go without ink for a few days. You have to keep this in mind when you register for HP Instant Ink. After the first time, I do neatly receive my new ink before my cartridges are empty.

I choose a print plan of € 4.99 per month, so I can print 50 pages per month. If I print more than 50 pages per month, I pay € 1 extra for 10 pages. The first month, I print fewer than 50 pages. I take the remaining pages with me to the next month. A set of cartridges for my printer costs € 33. This allows me to print 120 black and white pages and 100 colored pages. So in the end, HP Instant Ink is more affordable for me.

Via the HP website, I can see all my information. This way, I can see how many pages I printed and how many pages I still have left from the previous month. I can also easily change or cancel my plan via the website. I can only see my ink level when my printer is turned on. You can't check this remotely. I also can't see my HP Instant Ink information in the app.
