How do you get your JURA WE6 ready for use?

With this useful instructions, you can get your JURA WE6 ready for use. You want to get started with your brand new coffee machine right away, but you'll have to go through some steps before you can make your first cup of coffee. Get started with your JURA WE6

We'll explain how you can get your JURA WE6 ready for use step by step. We'll go through the following steps:

  • Step 4. Set the water hardness
  • Step 5. Set the water filter

You need:

  • Empty container of at least 300ml
  • Water filter
  • Coffee beans

Step 1: connect the coffee machine

  1. Remove the protection film from the machine and place the rack in the drip tray.
  2. Plug the connector into the socket.
  3. Fill the bean hopper with coffee beans.
  4. Press the ON/OFF button to turn on the machine.
  5. The display will show 'sprachauswahl'. Use the arrow keys to select the desired language.
  6. The display will show 'saved' followed by 'water hardness'.
Hold the test strip under running water for 2 seconds

Step 2: adjust the water hardness

  1. Test the water hardness with the included test strip.
  2. Hold the test strip under running water for 1 second and shake off the strip.
  3. Wait for about 1 minute.
  4. Read the water hardness level via the discolored rings on the test strip.
  5. Change the setting on the coffee machine to the correct water hardness.
  6. Press the '<' or '>' button to change the setting.
  7. Confirm by pressing 'Save'.
  8. The display will now show 'Filter function'.
Place the water filter in the water tank

Step 3: set the water filter

  1. Take the water tank out of the machine and rinse it with water.
  2. Open the filter holder of the water tank.
  3. Place the water filter into the water tank and close the filter holder.
  4. Fill the water tank with water up to the 'Max' mark and place it back into the machine.
  5. Place a container of at least 300ml under the hot water outlet.
  6. Twist the dial and the machine will start to give water.
  7. Twist the dial back to its starting position.
  8. The display will show 'Filter has been rinsed successfully' followed by 'System is being filled' and 'Empty container'.
  9. Empty the container, drip tray, and coffee grounds container.
  10. Place them back.
  11. The machine will rinse again and stops automatically.
  12. The JURA coffee machine is now ready for use.

How often do you clean your JURA coffee machine?

You can prevent blockages and defects if you clean the coffee machine in time. That way, you get the best coffee and take care of the coffee machine in a hygienic way. This is how you maintain it:
