What are dishwasher place settings?
When you look for a new dishwasher, you'll want to know how many dirty dishes fit in the appliance. You can find out by looking at the number of place settings that fit in the dishwasher. This way, you can be sure that you can clean all your plates, cutlery, and glasses in one go. Read what a place setting is in this article.
Amount of dirty dishes
One place setting is all you need for 1 person for 1 meal. This includes a plate, a set of cutlery, and a glass. Keep in mind that dirty pans or oven dishes aren't included in the place settings. If you regularly cook large meals or have a lot of dirty dishes, choose a model with 14 place settings or more. This way, you can be sure that you won't have to worry about doing the dishes by hand after cooking.
Need more space
Do you cook often and do you want extra space for pans, oven dishes, and cutting boards? A dishwasher with a cutlery drawer is a good choice. This means you don't have a separate cutlery tray in the dishwasher, so you have more space in the lower basket. You can easily place all your cutlery in the slide-out drawer at the very top of the machine.
