There are 2 types of extenders to extend a signal. An IR extender makes it possible to operate your equipment in a closed cabinet with infrared. AV extenders extend an audio or video signal. For example, you can extend the signal from a source that is far from your TV. Many of these extenders have an HDMI connector to send and receive videos in Full HD and Ultra HD. Both types of extenders have the option to extend a signal wirelessly, so you don't have to work with long cables.
