Pleasantly surprised that the Fitbit Charge 2, today 10-09-2016, already arrived. Expect this the 14th, the official release date. I haven't fully used it yet, so this is a first impression review.
This is my first activity tracker. Have seen a few but wasn't really impressed with them in terms of design and/cheap looks. The Fitbit alta was the first that appealed to me, but it lacked a lot of options that I wanted in it. The Charge 2 is the answer to that, a beautiful design that you can adjust to your own taste and with all the functionality I want in it. I am really impressed with the Charge 2 and it looks great on your wrist, even on the thinner wrists.
I was very dubious about the size. My wrist size is 16.5 cm and according to the PDF I would end up with an 'S'. I expected to be on the end of the wristband, but that's definitely not the case. Only sit on the third hole and then have seven left. Maybe this will help someone who is also unsure about the size.
In terms of functionality after the first start-up, it could actually be used right away. I've already synced it with my mobile, updated it and everything speaks for itself. So user-friendly.
I chose the black version myself. Purple appealed to me more, but black goes with everything. I was worried that the plastic strap would look cheap, but it certainly isn't. And the great thing is, other beautiful wristbands will soon be released and you can change them. Maybe not equally important for everyone, but a nice bonus for those who do care.
All in all, the first impression is great and can't wait to start using it!

Many reviews have already been written about this product. You really notice that more people are concerned with their health and are looking for tools that offer them support.
The fitbit charge 2 helps in a way to keep busy. It shows how many steps you take and what your heart rate is at that moment. You can set goals on the app how many steps you want to get per day and what you eat and drink. That makes you more aware of what you are doing in a day. It also vibrates when you forget to walk but does not force you. Of course you only have yourself with that ;) It is also nice that you can see who is calling and you can see text messages. Whatsapp and/or Telegram messages are not recognized by the way.
The downside I do find is that the pedometer is not very accurate. Maybe too 'sensitive'. When I pet my cat or brush my hair, even when I put on mascara, the fitbit charge registers 2 steps. I partly solved this by setting my dominant wrist and usage to the right in the app, but wear it on the left. I also take it off when I freshen up. I've taken this 'problem' for granted, but for the perfectionists among us this might be a bit irritating. It is of course very easy to achieve your step goal while you are not walking. Smuggling is therefore too easy. Of course, your health remains your own responsibility and the fitbit charge 2 is not a 'medicine'.
My conclusion is that I am personally very satisfied and also notice that I exercise more to achieve my self-set goals. Furthermore, it is comfortable, also very light, it looks nice (I did order another band via Ebay) and I am more aware of what I eat and drink (whether I actually lose weight is the question, I have the Fitbit charge 2 for that. not long enough). This is definitely recommended for people with a sedentary profession!

I've had the charge 2 for a week now and use it during strength training, running and yoga. The watch is a must for anyone who loves sports and wants to improve themselves. The watch stays well on the wrist, even though the heart rate monitor on the bottom can sometimes be a bit annoying and it is not waterproof. Furthermore, this watch has a few small functions that make you wonder why this didn't come into your life earlier, here I am mainly referring to the silent alarm, instead of an alarm clock that trumpets in your ears, the watch vibrates and hwt wakes you up quietly . If you are too busy all day it will tell you to do breathing exercises (which works amazingly well) and if you are too lazy it will tell you to take a few extra steps. The fitbit charge 2 also distinguishes itself from the other models because it estimates your VO2Max and gives you a good picture of the condition you have now. Also very user-friendly and you will have everything at your fingertips in no time.
