According to our monitor expert
The AOC G2590PX is a screen for passionate gamers who like to play shooters. Thanks to the 144Hz refresh rate, fast movements in games such as League of Legends or Overwatch smoothly displayed. This monitor has Freesync and is G-sync compatible, which prevents you from interrupting both NVIDIA and AMD video cards. The monitor has a reaction speed of 1 millisecond, so even fast-moving images are sharp. Thanks to the screen's thin bezels, you can line up 2 of these monitors without much image loss. The screen is matte, which reduces reflections. You can adjust this monitor's height and rotate or tilt it to make sure you're always comfortable while gaming.

To expand my computer set, I was looking for a new monitor, which would mainly be used for gaming, but on which I could also do homework. The requirement was an affordable 144 Hz monitor with a clearly bright and good screen. After a lot of searching I chose the AOC G2590PX.
Immediately upon unpacking the AOC G2590PX, the sleek, beautiful design immediately stood out. The monitor has hardly any bezels, the foot is compact and looks sleek. The red border under the screen is the only point that betrays that we are talking about a gaming monitor. The rest looks professional. The matte finish of the screen is also positive. The monitor stands on a height-adjustable stand. The height is easily adjustable, and the monitor can also be tilted slightly. In addition, there is the possibility to turn the screen completely on its side for a 'portrait' mode.
The screen quality is good to very good. A TN panel is mainly known for its fast response time, with the negative point that the viewing angles and color reproduction often lag behind. However, I am of the opinion that the latter is not entirely true for this monitor. The viewing angles are far from wrong for a TN panel. Color shifts at an angle are there, but in normal use (for a gaming monitor where you normally sit straight in front of it) you can't complain about it, and you have to make it bond (sit very diagonally in front of it) if you really want to suffer from this 'problem'. The maximum brightness of over 400 cd/m2 makes the screen usable in both bright and dark rooms. Due to this high brightness, the black display (in darker rooms), however, goes a bit more towards dark gray. The color reproduction of the screen is not optimally set by default. But after tweaking and adjusting, the accuracy of the color reproduction is excellent, especially in the sRGB mode (adjustable via the settings menu (OSD) of the monitor). The OSD itself is easy to use and control with a small joystick, which is located on the back of the monitor. Several (preset) game profiles can be found in the OSD, for example for FPS or Race games. You can also set your own profiles here.
The monitor has a 144Hz screen, and features Freesync (AMD). In addition, the monitor is supported by NVIDIA as G-SYNC compatible, so that you can also use it very well with NVIDIA graphics cards and tearing and stuttering are a thing of the past.
The AOC G2590PX has multiple HDMI (2x), DVI (1x) and VGA (1x) connections, so you can connect it to both your desktop and console, for example. An HDMI and DVI cable are included. In addition, there are a few speakers present in the monitor, but that's about all. If you buy a monitor and you absolutely want to have speakers in it, don't go for this one. This is not a big downside for me, because I still use an external speaker set and/or headset.
All in all, you really get a lot for your money with the AOC G2590PX. The monitor looks nice and sleek, the 144Hz screen has very good color reproduction and good viewing angles for a TN panel and with its many connections, it is suitable for console and PC gamers. The implemented speakers are worthless, but I would never buy a monitor for that anyway.

I am someone who uses a computer for multiple fields of application (3D design, CAD, producing music, watching movies and sometimes gaming) My previous screen was a bit outdated (already 6-7 years) and never found it pleasant to work on ( picture quality was not so good) I now have a new computer, so time for another monitor...
I would have liked an all-round screen that was good in every way, this was not easy to find, even if you want to keep the price affordable, and are looking for a good ratio of image quality and speed.
Despite some negative attitudes towards the image rendering of TN screens for everyday use and E-designing, I took the risk (after reading some good reviews) to go for this gaming monitor...
My first impression after opening the box was the good build quality in combination with a nice design.
After the first half hour of testing, I immediately had the feeling that this was a huge step forward from my previous monitor, I am also really impressed with the good image quality!
I dare not say that this is the perfect screen, and I am not a professional photographer or video editor, but in my opinion this screen has a very nice color reproduction and clarity. Also, the contrast is pleasant! Furthermore, you can also set everything perfectly according to use via the OSD menu.
The only downside I might have is that the viewing angle still betrays that this is a TN screen, and the black-gray values could have been a little better... However, these are things that bother me less, and as far as viewing angle is concerned, don't tell me that you are looking at your screen at 45 degrees ;)
It's a fantastic monitor for the money, and in my opinion it can be used very well for the hobby designer, who also wants to play games without having to sacrifice frame speed.
24 inches is also ideal for an FHD monitor, I would recommend a larger screen in 4K.
I would like to add that I have opted for a "Refurbished second chance product" via Coolblue, which arrived in excellent new condition! For this I paid quite a bit cheaper than the original price! For people who doubt to do this too, I would say grab the chance, you certainly won't regret it!
