According to our washing machine expert
i-DOS automatically doses your detergent and fabric softener, so your laundry stays beautiful longer.
With the Home Connect app, you can control your washing machine with your smartphone wherever and whenever you want.
It's relatively silent with a noise level of only 70dB during the spin cycle.
Doesn't have an AllergyPlus program to remove allergens such as pet hairs and pollen from your laundry.
The Bosch WAXH2K70NL of the series 8 automatically doses your detergent thanks to i-DOS technology. Your laundry stays beautiful longer because you use the right amount of detergent. And you can fill the detergent drawer with your own detergent and fabric softener. The washing machine is suitable for large amounts of laundry from 2 people or more. You can control it remotely with the Home Connect app. When your laundry is done, you receive a notification on your smartphone or tablet. The 4D Wash System removes stains from your clothes more effectively. By spreading detergent and water over the fabric, your laundry emerges from the washing machine extra clean. You can even start a cycle overnight. The brushless EcoSilence Drive motor makes the washing machine silent in use.
Washing machine purchased after defect of old model. Old model was just 5 years old and gave a leak (after having been repaired before). Chosen for this model based on:
The first impression after having the device for 2 weeks: The machine is located on the 1st floor on a concrete floor which is poured on a wooden floor (lewis plates with lightweight concrete). The old machine (bosch, 5 years old) gave a considerable noise / vibrations through the house and towards the neighbors when spinning. So much so that, despite every effort to limit it, we have thought several times about having the old machine replaced just for that reason. A leak from the old machine hastened this process. So one of the main points was a quiet machine. Indeed, the new Bosch WAXH2K70NL i-DOS does not disappoint. When spinning up to 1400 rpm, almost nothing is audible. At 1600 rpm the noise level does increase, but not as disturbing as with the old one. 1600 rpm has been the standard so far when using ECO wash programs and does not seem to be adjustable. I notice little difference in the drying results between 1400 and 1600 rpm.
Washing result The laundry comes out smelling really fresh. It seems that the automatic dosing function plays an important role in this (in combination with automatic measurement of the degree of soiling and the amount of laundry). Personally, I find it easy that you don't have to think about adding detergent. Since you can choose for the second reservoir whether you use it for detergent or fabric softener, it made sense for us to use it for detergent for colored laundry. However, the second reservoir is smaller than the first. So refill a little more often. You can add fabric softener in the third (manual) compartment. It is striking that without fabric softener the laundry also comes out very well (Maybe because of i-dos?). I notice little difference in the drying results between 1400 and 1600 rpm. In both cases, the laundry dries exceptionally well. This in turn reduces the workload for the heat pump dryer.
Energy consumption The device gives a clear indication of the expected consumption of water and electricity when you choose various washing options. This helps to create awareness about energy consumption. The dynamic washing time (based on the amount and degree of soiling of the laundry) seems to contribute to lower energy consumption compared to the old static programs. A heat pump dryer purchased by us also uses this principle and has proven that it significantly reduces energy consumption. In the near future I will see whether this is also the case for the washing machine, but I have confidence in advance that this is indeed the case.
General The large drum is a relief when you have a lot of laundry as a family with small children. The drum lighting is handy (you can quickly see if there is still something in it) since the laundry room is not very well lit. There are plenty of functions available that help with various washing jobs. The intensive plus stand, for example, has ensured that musty garden cushion covers came out almost as new. Speedperfect helps with rush jobs by considerably shortening the running time (energy consumption then logically goes up). The app is nice, especially as a reminder that the machine is ready. The setting options on the app go a bit further than via the machine. However, more than 90% of the washing jobs will be fine to set via the rotary knob and option buttons.
Usability The simple dial lets you quickly make the right choice for the washing task. The only thing that is initially confusing is that the ECO mode states 40-60 degrees. It therefore seems as if the washing temperature can rise to 60 degrees, which leads to damage with many clothes. What is meant, however, is that this position is suitable for clothes that can be washed at 40 to 60 degrees and that this laundry also becomes clean. However, the machine never goes higher than 40 degrees in this position and will therefore not damage the laundry.
Durability I can't say enough about durability. That will become apparent in time. The previous device failed within 5 years after being repaired once. This device was also partly chosen for durability. I hope for the best.
Conclusion So far we are satisfied with the purchase (and the service from Coolblue)
There is also a comparable model: the Bosch WAXH2K75NL i-DOS. This is exactly the same model but it costs less than 10 euros more. This version has better security against leaks. This model has also received the designation best in the test from the consumer association. In my opinion, Coolblue could offer this model better because it makes virtually no difference in price and offers just a little more functionality (more complete product). I only noticed this better leakage protection because we have now had to deal with a leakage ourselves.

After years of old worn out washing machines, finally a big people washing machine! What a relief. Laundry is cleaned well, never mess with detergent again, just fill it up and press a button, delicious! Also handy that the app notifies you when it's ready (or remotely start it before you come back from work). chill!!)

Bought on Sunday evening at 10.15 pm, at 9.00 am the next morning the first 'drum wash' was already running. Good and fast delivery by experienced employees! Noise level of this washing machine is low. Stiller can hardly spin at 1600 rpm. Already a big advantage compared to our previous machine. Enough washing programs and a clear display that indicates the expected water and energy consumption. This allows you to select a program even more consciously. No great expectations of I-dos (detergent is dosed automatically) but still handy. Actually no negatives, but to name two, the filling opening could have been slightly larger and programs take a little longer. This also goes hand in hand with energy-efficient washing and is therefore good for something.
