Tefal CY505E All-in-One Slowcooker, Multicooker, and Pressure Cooker

When unpacking the All-in-one multicooker/slow cooker/pressure cooker from Tefal, it is immediately apparent that the product looks well finished. Well packaged, nice accessories included. Good size, expected it to be bigger. The inner pan is nicely spacious, more than enough space for a family of 4 large eaters (and there is still room for a little more). Immediately read the manual (small print though): the information described is clear and easy to understand. The inner pan can NOT be cleaned in the dishwasher: this would damage the non-stick coating. Fortunately, it is very easy to clean under the tap with a soft sponge and some washing up liquid. Is light and easy to lift from the outer pan. Slow cooker: works easily. You can't take the lid off to stir in the meantime: however, press 'cancel', stir, then set the time again and continue cooking. No problem, just takes some getting used to. Pressure cooker: pressurizes fairly quickly, then starts the cooking time and a subtle sound is heard after the cooking time. The venting is done by means of the button in the handle of the lid and this works quite smoothly and safely. Frying function: works well. Bacon (for example) cooks quickly. There is a safety feature on the lid: the lid must not be closed during roasting. If this does happen, the appliance stops the roasting function and displays an error message. Lid open again: error message disappears and cooking can continue. Setting up the device is very simple, this is also quite logically arranged. A big advantage (besides the time) is that you don't have to 'pay attention' to the food to be prepared. When I'm on the stove, I have to. Because of boiling over, there must be some stirring etc.. Cooking rice is also an option: although it could be even better, the first times I tried that, the rice was fine to eat. Easy, don't worry :)

The delay start is ideal: the food is ready when I want it, without having to take it too much into account. Because: after the cooking time, the keep warm function also starts automatically. The only thing that I might find a bit of a shame is that the lid is attached to the pan. On the other hand, this is also handy because I don't need space for the lid on the counter. Only cleaning is more convenient under the tap (and that is not possible now). Fortunately, the lid is quite easy to clean and the rubber is easy to remove, clean and replace. I am satisfied with my purchase and I think I will enjoy it for a long time to come.

What a fantastic versatile device!!! I've had it for almost 2 weeks now and have been using it almost continuously. By doing it I discover how versatile and easy it is!!! From applesauce, to stewed pears, from homemade granola, to meatballs in the gravy, but also complete meals such as potatoes, vegetables, meat, for example, in the pressure cooker and within 8 minutes you can enjoy a super healthy and tasty steamed meal!!! Breakfasts are also tasty and ideal to set the night before and you wake up with the smell of apples with sugar, cinnamon and oatmeal. I also definitely find the sear function to be a huge advantage over other slow cookers. You can sear things in the same pan and then switch to slow cooking and let the meat cook for another 6 hours or so in its own moisture or tasty gravy, which gives you an optimal taste!! I would have room for it in my cupboards, but that is of no use because it is on almost every day so it gets a nice spot on my counter!! The pan is also nice and big, so I immediately make large quantities and the whole family or the residents I work with can enjoy. You can of course also freeze it, but handing out is much more fun and fun!! A small disadvantage is that the lid is not made of glass, so you cannot see what is happening in your pan without opening the lid. But hey if that's all... opening it every now and then ensures a wonderful scent diffusion in the house. Used the "pressure cooking" function for the first time yesterday. The preparation time does take a while, but when the pressure is built up, you have perfectly paired potatoes and cauliflower within 8 minutes, it was really tasty and just the right degree of doneness!! We will definitely eat this more often!! All in all, an absolute must!!!

This Multi was a challenge at first in terms of use, the accompanying booklet is quite sparse and so you have to learn things by doing. That's not a bad thing, but take your time for this. it is super nice to use when you realize it. Tried almost all functions in recent weeks. Great, done quickly and you don't have to worry about it anymore. I found it difficult in the beginning that there was cooking time, for example 20 minutes, but that the pan must first be pressurized, very logical but is not mentioned in the explanation, so then you misjudge yourself to get the food on the table on time. Baking a cake is possible, but I like it better from the oven. I like the risotto and rice pudding much better from this multi. The slow cooker is also super fine. Oatmeal with the oatmeal program quickly and easily and on the table in no time. Pasta sauce with well absorbed flavors Steaming vegetables and a fish is ready in no time. Easy and healthy Now looking for even more recipes to make the most of this pan. A well spent expense for us and certainly an asset to the kitchen
