iPhone SE 2022 is a small device and very fast thanks to the powerful A15 Bionic Chip. Due to the single camera without Night mode and the wide screen edges, the device is somewhat outdated. Small device with Touch ID Compared to my own iPhone 12, iPhone SE 2022 is a small device. I have small hands, but I can reach the top of the screen with my thumb without any problem. This makes navigating in apps easy. The device is light and fits comfortably in my hand. I am used to a full screen with thin screen edges and this device does not have that. I therefore find the design of iPhone SE 2022 a bit outdated and is, for example, the same as iPhone 8 from 2017. The home button with Touch ID therefore takes some getting used to, but works fine. The button responds quickly when I unlock the device with my finger. Good 4.7 inch HD screen The small 4.7 inch HD screen is great for watching YouTube videos and playing a simple game like Candy Crush. The images are sharp and colors full. The screen is bright, but not always easy to read in a lot of ambient light. I especially notice this when I'm outside on a sunny day. Due to the small screen, I find the iPhone SE 2022 less suitable for watching movies and series. Looking at a small screen for extended periods of time is uncomfortable for me. Powerful and energy-efficient A15 Bionic Chip iPhone SE 2022 has the same processor that is also in the iPhone 13 series. The device is therefore very fast. I edit my photos and videos in no time. Switching quickly between YouTube, Spotify and Safari is also smooth. Thanks to the A15 chip, the battery life is better compared to its predecessor, iPhone SE 2020. I use the device to keep track of my mail and social media. In between I watch short YouTube videos. The battery can easily last a full working day. Good photos during the day The camera system of iPhone SE 2022 is not extensive. On the back I find a standard lens. With this camera I take great photos and videos during the day. On a beautiful spring day, the images are sharp and full of color. Photos and videos are disappointing in the dark. They are grainy and low quality even when I use the flash. It is a pity that the device does not have Night mode. The same applies to the selfie camera. During the day or in high light it works fine, but in low light the quality drops.

I have been a loyal iPhone user for many years. I've made a trip to Android, but I don't really like it. I always come back to iOS. So now again, only the reason is slightly different. You may not immediately believe me, but I switched from an iPhone 14 Pro to the iPhone SE 2022. Although the iPhone 14 Pro is a true top model, it was less suitable for me. The reason for this was the bright OLED screen that uses PWM technology when dimming the screen. Long story short: the screen flashes so fast that you can't consciously perceive it. But your eyes do this and your brain makes a picture of it. A small percentage of people are less able to handle this, including me. So I switched to the iPhone SE, because this device uses an LCD screen with a normal dimming function. It looks calmer before my eyes and I don't get a headache anymore. In addition, I just don't need all the top model features. The iPhone SE 2022 does everything with two fingers in the nose, can be operated with one hand and is nice and compact. I do not need more. The camera is fine. I find it relaxing that I no longer have to choose between different lenses just a lens and click, photo! It's a pity the camera doesn't have a night mode. This could have been a plus. The screen is compact, without a disturbing notch. Thanks to the LCD technology, the screen looks nice and quiet. Unfortunately, the screen cannot match the color range of an OLED screen and only has a 60Hz refresh rate. However, once you get used to it, you don't notice it anymore. The battery is a lot smaller than with the more expensive models. You also notice this, I have to charge my iPhone SE every day. While the 14 Pro lasted for two days. Coolblue's service is great! I picked up the phone at the store in Eindhoven. I was warmly welcomed and helped right away. The Coolblue employee who helped me immediately attached the screen protector that I ordered for me. Then he taped the box shut so that the phone wouldn't accidentally fall out. Now that's service! All in all I am very satisfied. Back to basics, but with all modern gadgets.
