Nikon Z6III Body

After a few weeks of shooting and filming with the Nikon Z6 III, I can honestly say that this is a camera that's a joy. It simply feels great to use: fast, reliable, and with images that immediately captivate you. The autofocus is lightning-fast and stays where you want it—and that really makes a difference, especially after the latest update. What surprised me is how versatile it is. Whether you're tracking birds in flight, photographing children moving in all directions, or shooting smooth video in 4K/120p, the Z6 III handles it all effortlessly. I'm coming from the Z7, so yes, there are fewer megapixels, but honestly, I don't miss them. The dynamic range is excellent, and the speed and smart features more than make up for it. In short: this is a camera that inspires confidence, whether you're shooting photos or videos. To me, the Z6 III feels like a true all-rounder that can handle anything.

After years of working with various cameras, I recently switched to the Nikon Z6 III, my first full-frame camera. The camera feels comfortable in the hand, and the controls are well-designed. It's very user-friendly, allowing you to start shooting immediately. It also offers a wide range of settings and functions. This takes some getting used to at first, but the quick menu offers plenty of guidance. It takes a little time to configure it to your liking, but once configured, everything works quickly and efficiently. The battery lasts a long time, and the touchscreen is smooth and user-friendly. Thanks to the fast burst mode, combined with fast and accurate autofocus, good tracking, and the pre-release capture function, you can capture action effectively. I'm also very impressed with the image quality.

I've had the III with the Nikkor 24-70/4 lens for a few weeks now, but here are my first impressions. The camera is handy and easy to use. I found the weight to be reasonable. The lens doesn't extend on its own (very handy). The screen is very flexible. In practice: Autofocus is very fast and accurate, even when capturing moving animals. Focusing and tracking specific subjects works very well (it can distinguish up to nine subjects and track them in 3D). The pre-capture function is also very useful, allowing you to be "on time" more often. It shoots quickly: the burst, the capture, the focusing.

All in all, it produces beautiful, colorful photos with a good depth of field. I suspect the partially stacked CMOS sensor contributes to this. Filming is smooth and good, but not very extensive so far. Cloud storage seems like a plus, but it's not yet set up that way. Any drawbacks? Well, I couldn't get the Quick menu to adjust, but that might be me (getting used to it) and sometimes I have to focus manually with macro, but that's not unusual. Not yet.
