Dreame X50 Ultra Complete Black

This Dreame X50 is our 3rd robot vacuum cleaner. We previously had a Neato D7 and D10, so we can see how the technology has developed over the years.

Summary:

A vacuum cleaner that cleans very well, is easy to maintain and is full of possibilities. But that does come at a price.

Cleaning result:

The cleaning result of the X50 is simply good. Where our previous vacuum cleaners actually offered more support so that you had to vacuum less yourself, it seems that the X50 takes the job almost completely off your hands. He has been driving around here for a week now, and he just keeps the house clean.

I also leave the toilet door open now so that it is also mopped every day. What is interesting here is that you can indicate in which order the vacuum cleaner does the rooms, so that you can indicate that it does the toilet last before it independently cleans its mop.

Maintenance:

This robot requires much less maintenance than previous models, or perhaps better said easier user maintenance. It empties itself into a bag in the base station, but because it is larger you do not have to empty it as often as vacuum cleaners that do not do this. However, the clean and dirty water tanks now have to be maintained. With a surface area of 80 m2, I think that has to be done every 3 days. However, we do it after every cleaning, because it is a piece of cake, and dirty water can develop unpleasant odors.

What really deserves a comment is the brush of the X50. This is designed in such a way that no hair gets tangled in it, and that was a really big problem with previous robot vacuum cleaners that now seems to have been completely solved in one go.

However, you can/must put a cleaning agent in this X50 before mopping, and of course Dreame really wants you to use their own cleaning agent.

After a week of use, it looks like I'll be able to use a bottle for about 2 months, which is quite manageable.

Price:

Personally, I think the price/quality ratio of this vacuum cleaner is fantastic. It's expensive, but it does a great job. Especially compared to older vacuum cleaners. This X50 is more than a gimmick or gadget. It makes a serious contribution to keeping your home clean.

Found a nice place in the house, we have a black version and it is next to a black kitchen so it is not noticeable. Rooms are easily divided as well as the schedules to work. For example, the kitchen is vacuumed and mopped every evening after cooking (19:00). We have cats so the living room, dining room every two days all other rooms are a matter of opening the door. We are really satisfied. It was nice that an acquaintance visited me and also ordered this immediately. It is not the cheapest but certainly the best. When I see with what "force" it vacuums the doormat clean. The cats always lie there rolling around. One thing is for sure, our grandson comes clean, crawls around and goes home clean. Well that says enough. And as for the cats, they are also used to it by now.

Bought this device after our Roborock Qrevo died. We wanted to try the Dreame because we were so happy with our A1 Pro lawn mower. After receiving this robot, we were surprised at how poor it is compared to our old Qrevo. The software is full of bugs. It forgets to raise the lidar, making it blind, and it gets lost in the house. It stares for 10 seconds at every new action because the processor doesn't seem fast enough (or the software is too complicated). It doesn't follow edges precisely, so it misses dirt and skips sections in corners. Not to mention, it covers half the room and is already 20% battery-free, which is not right. All in all, I'm very happy with the Coolblue service. I returned it and ordered a Roborock Saros 10R, which is 10x better. The Dreame is too expensive for what you get. It feels like the software isn't finished yet.
