The HP OmniBook 7 is a large 17-inch laptop with a touchscreen. This makes it easy to take notes and dismiss notifications. In the evening, I can easily continue working with the backlit keyboard. However, I do see fingerprints on the glossy screen.
First Impression
What immediately struck me is that the OmniBook 7 is a large laptop. The screen is large, allowing me to easily work in two windows side by side. This makes this laptop convenient for multitasking. Due to its large 17-inch size, the laptop is a bit heavy, weighing 2.3 kilograms. Because of this, I don't like to carry it around. However, I do enjoy working on it at my desk. This OmniBook 7 has plenty of USB ports: three USB-A ports and two USB-C ports. This allows me to easily connect my mouse, keyboard, and other accessories.
Touchscreen and Keyboard
This laptop has a touchscreen. This allows me to operate it not only via the touchpad but also via the screen. I can quickly dismiss incoming notifications and take notes in documents. I also swipe through documents, photos, and other files. The laptop's keyboard is comfortable to type on. When I press the keys, they make a soft clicking sound. This way, I don't disturb others while I'm typing. The keyboard is backlit, so I can see the keys clearly, even in the dark. This makes it easy to continue working in the evening. This laptop also has a numeric keypad, which makes entering numbers and formulas easy.
Image and sound
The large screen makes watching movies and TV shows much more enjoyable. With the Full HD resolution, images look neat and clear. This allows me to work comfortably and watch shows in a relaxed way. Thanks to the IPS panel, the colors remain clearly visible, even when I sit further to the side or change position. This means I don't have to worry about the image fading if I'm not sitting directly in front of the screen. The built-in Poly Studio speakers sound clear and crisp for a laptop, making it easy to listen to my favorite music or enjoy a movie night.
