After six years of using a premium brand dryer, I finally opted for Beko. It's very economical (<0.5 kWh per cycle so far with a half load) and dries perfectly. However, they seem to be a bit picky about the drain height. Despite the drain height being as specified in the manual (between minimum and maximum), the reservoir overflowed. Fortunately, no water damage. Having chosen a lower drain, it seems to be working fine. For the tech enthusiast, it also integrates well with Home Assistant and HomeWhiz (and the community module).

A nice dryer, as long as you use the collection reservoir or have a drain low to the ground.

The manual states a height of 80-100cm for the drain hose. And another document mentions a maximum height of 80cm. None of this is correct; the drain hose does not work even a few centimeters below 80cm.

Otherwise, it is very nice! Quiet, dries well, and my drying room hardly gets damp.

You turn the knob and press start, and that is pretty much it.

Homewiz also works with Home Assistant, but that seemed like a somewhat half-baked implementation. It is, however, usable for automation.

This dryer dries really well and is very quiet; when I am sitting in the living room, I cannot hear the dryer running (the dryer is in a separate room with the door simply open).

Additionally, the room where the dryer is located does not really heat up during use, which was definitely different with my old dryer, so I find that very pleasant.
