Apple Magic Keyboard iPad Air 11 inches (2026/2025/2024) QWERTY Black

Apple products always work well together, and this one is no exception. It fits perfectly. The USB-C port is on the left side, and the iPad's port is on the right, so you can always charge on the desired side.

The Coolblue product description states that the keys are illuminated, but this is incorrect. Only the keyboard for the iPad Pro series has this feature. It's a real drawback, though.

This is another one of those items that makes me think, "Why not order it now?" I previously ordered a regular protective case without a built-in keyboard, and I wasn't happy with it because I had one with my old iPad. If you don't want to constantly have your fingers in the screen while typing, this keyboard is an absolute must-have. It's from Apple, so it looks and feels like Apple's Magic Keyboards.

You can argue about the price and the key sound, but compared to many other keyboards, it's surprisingly good. In meetings, I hear a lot of laptop keyboards that click louder and more annoyingly. And for the price, Apple has once again delivered a beautifully designed piece of quality.

Right out of the box, you simply click your iPad onto it (magnetically) and you're ready to go. The only – minor – drawback to this case is that the sides aren't protected, but you still have to hold your iPad in your hands… ;-)

I had never felt the need to attach a keyboard to my iPad before. With my new iPad Air, I started exploring the possibilities. I also tried a cheaper alternative, but although it was a good keyboard, I found it large and bulky.

The Magic Keyboard just works perfectly with your iPad and works instantly with all Apple swipes, etc.

I usually have it on my lap, nice and cozy on the couch, and that works excellently for me. Yes, the whole thing is naturally just a bit smaller and especially narrower than a laptop, but I chose a tablet for a reason, and then you know that everything is just a bit smaller. The advantage is that you can quickly detach the iPad if you want to draw, for example, so it can also be held in your hand as a tablet.

It is certainly a lot of money for a keyboard, but you get genuine Apple quality. And Apple knows damn well by now that people are willing to pay for that.
