With a combination saw, you can quickly switch between a radial arm saw and a table saw without tools. That way, you can also saw material in length. There are 2 types of combination saws. The first type has a small table on top, and the saw blade of the radial arm saw extends past it. You place your material on the table and move it along the saw blade. The other type is called a flip-over saw or tilt saw. A flip-over radial arm saw has a fixed underframe. You can rotate the table with the radial arm saw to transform it into a table saw.
