My Fitbit Charge 3 screen is black: what now?

It sometimes happens that your Fitbit Charge 3 screen turns black. Your Fitbit doesn't respond to touches, but it usually works except for the black screen. You can usually solve this problem with a reset. Here I'll explain in 4 steps how to get the screen of your Fitbit Charge 3 working again.

In many cases, a black screen on your Fitbit Charge 3 can be fixed. To do this, follow the next steps:

  1. connect the charger
  2. put your Fitbit in the charger
  3. press and hold the standby button
  4. unplug the Fitbit

Step 1: connect the charger

Connect the Fitbit charger to the AC power. You can do this by plugging the USB connector into your laptop, for example, or simply via the socket.

Step 2: put your Fitbit in the charger

Click your Fitbit Charge 3 into the charger. Make sure the pins on your Fitbit and the charger connect. When the Fitbit is properly connected, you'll feel a vibration and see a battery on the screen.

Step 3: press and hold the standby button

Press and hold the standby button for 8 seconds. The standby button can be found on the side of the Fitbit Charge 3. An opening in the charger allows you to easily access it. Do you see a smiley and feel a vibration? Your Fitbit has been reset.

Step 4: disconnect the Fitbit
