My Fitbit Charge 3 screen is black: what now?
Fix black screen on your Fitbit Charge 3
In many cases, a black screen on your Fitbit Charge 3 can be fixed. To do this, follow the next steps:
- connect the charger
- put your Fitbit in the charger
- press and hold the standby button
- unplug the Fitbit
Step 1: connect the charger
Connect the Fitbit charger to the AC power. You can do this by plugging the USB connector into your laptop, for example, or simply via the socket.
Step 2: put your Fitbit in the charger
Click your Fitbit Charge 3 into the charger. Make sure the pins on your Fitbit and the charger connect. When the Fitbit is properly connected, you'll feel a vibration and see a battery on the screen.
Step 3: press and hold the standby button
Press and hold the standby button for 8 seconds. The standby button can be found on the side of the Fitbit Charge 3. An opening in the charger allows you to easily access it. Do you see a smiley and feel a vibration? Your Fitbit has been reset.
Step 4: disconnect the Fitbit
Remove your Fitbit Charge 3 from the charger. The screen of the Fitbit now works as usual again.
