How do you get your JURA E6 ready for use?

Get started with the JURA E6
Follow the video instruction to make your coffee machine ready for use. We'll go through these steps:
- Fill the bean hopper.
- Turn on the coffee machine.
- Select the desired language.
- Set the water hardness.
- Set the water filter.
- Rinse the coffee machine with water.
- Connect the milk system.
- The coffee machine is now ready for use.
You need:
- 2 empty containers of at least 500ml
- Drinking water
- Coffee beans
Step 1: connect the coffee machine
- Fill the bean hopper with coffee beans
- Plug the connector into the socket and press the on/off button.
- The display will say 'Choose Language'. To select a different language, press the '>' button until you reach your language.
- Afterwards, the display will say 'Water Hardness'
Step 2: adjust the water hardness
1: to test the water hardness, you can use the test strip that comes in the box 2: hold the test strip under running water for 1 second 3: wait for about 1 minute 4: read the water hardness level via the colored rings on the test strip 5: press the '<' or '>' key to set the water hardness. Press 'Save'
Step 3: set the water filter
1: the display says 'Use Filter' 2: remove the water tank and rinse it 3: place the included extension piece for the filter cartridge on top of the water filter 4: place the complete water filter in the water tank 5: turn the water filter to the right until you hear a click 6: fill the water tank with fresh water and place it back in the machine 7: place a container under the milk spout and another container under the coffee nozzle 8: the display will say 'Saved'
Step 4: rinse the machine
1: the display says 'Switch open'. Open the switch to the coffee cup with a droplet on top. 2: the filter is rinsed. This stop automatically. The display says 'Switch close'. Close the switch to 'I' 3: empty the drip tray and place it back 4: you'll see 'Machine rinsing' on the display. Afterwards, the JURA E6 is ready for use
How often do you clean your JURA coffee machine?
You can prevent blockages and defects with your JURA E6 if you clean the coffee machine in time. That way, you get the best coffee and take care of the coffee machine in a hygienic way. This is how you maintain it:
- Clean the milk system daily
- Clean the brew group every 1.5 month
- Replace the water filter every 3 months
- Descale it every 2 years (with a water filter)
