Pros and cons

According to our laptop expert
  • Pros:
Thanks to the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 video card, you can play most games at high settings.
  • Pros:
With 16GB of RAM, you can easily run programs like Discord or Skype while playing a game.
  • Pros:
With the USB-C connector, you can charge the laptop while it's switched off, transfer games, and connect an extra monitor.
  • Con:
The 256GB PCIe SSD isn't large enough for both Windows and large games like GTA V, so you're more likely to have to use the (slower) HDD.
  • Con:
On the matte black surface of the laptop, you'll see fingerprints faster than on other laptops.
Product Expert laptops

We've tested it ourselves. You can read our expert review of the HP Pavilion G15-cx0830nd here.

The HP Pavilion G15-cx0830nd is a 15.6-inch laptop on which you can play Fortnite on the highest settings without a problem, thanks to the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 video card. With an Intel® Core™ i7 processor on board, this laptop can effortlessly run multiple programs simultaneously, so you can talk to friends on Skype or Discord without your game slowing down as a result. There's enough space on the 1TB HDD to store images of your gaming sessions, while the 256GB PCIe SSD loads your games faster than a 'regular' SSD. Do you enjoy gaming on a larger screen? With the USB-C connector, you can connect an extra monitor with DisplayPort to the HP Pavilion. The backlit keyboard ensures that you won't unnecessarily send your character into the woods in badly-lit spaces.
