A great laptop, especially for the price. Everything feels solid and the performance is fine. An earlier laptop from Lenovo (Yoga II) that I had was quite noisy with the ventilation and I was afraid of that. But luckily, this ideapad doesn't suffer from that. As a developer I run the necessary programs that set performance requirements (including Visual Studio, MS SQL Server and Adobe Photoshop) and they run without problems. I don't play heavy 3D games so I can't say much about it.
I work with it every day and travel quite a bit and this laptop can take a beating. The battery life is decent. Working uninterrupted for a whole day at full performance will not work, but with the right settings, a normal working day is manageable.
My first Yoga was quite noisy as said, the second Yoga just about wore out under my fingers as I typed. Still opted for a Lenovo convertible because the folding screen is ideal for me. During meetings, the machine is flat like a tablet, and during the real work just a nice keyboard.
