According to our laptop expert
The Intel Core i3 processor helps you run several programs at the same time.
The hinge of the screen provides some space between the laptop and the surface, so the VivoBook X512FA cools better with intensive use.
Thanks to the SSD, you can boot the laptop with Windows 10 Home S and load your programs in about 15 seconds.
With 128GB, you'll have less storage capacity for your files than on similar models.
With Windows 10 in S mode, you can only install programs from the Microsoft Store, and not from Google Chrome, for example.
On the Asus VivoBook X512FA-EJ805T, you can shop online, take notes, and watch a movie. With the 15.6-inch Full HD screen, you can watch movies in 1080p quality. The Intel Core i3 processor and 8GB of RAM let multiple programs run smoothly. The pre-installed Windows 10 Home S is more energy efficient, so you can last longer on a single battery charge. The 128GB SSD boots your laptop in 15 seconds. Want to make a backup? Use the USB-C to transfer files of several gigabytes to another device in seconds.
Only the 365 version of Office works with laptops with Windows 10 in S mode. Switch off the S mode if you also want to use Office for Home and Students.

The narrow bezels not only make the laptop look better, but it also has a smaller footprint and still has a nice large IPS panel. Of course you can't expect too much from the speed, but the i5 in combination with the 8GB ram is still not slow and more than enough for everyday use and for example school. The 512GB SSD is more than enough and ensures that your laptop boots within 10 seconds. Only you have to keep an eye on your battery because it is not too big. All in all, it's a great laptop for a good price.
