AOC AG326UD QD-OLED

I was looking for a single monitor for both work and play and ended up with the U32G4U. So far, I'm very pleased with it.

During the day, I use it in 4K 160Hz. The resolution makes text easy to read and gives you plenty of room for multiple windows side by side. The higher refresh rate makes everyday use noticeably more pleasant; scrolling and moving through documents and websites is very smooth.

In the evening, I often switch to Full HD 320Hz for competitive gaming. In this mode, it's less about maximum sharpness and more about smooth image quality and fast response. This monitor excels in those areas.

Connected to my MacBook M4, it works flawlessly. The MacBook immediately recognizes the monitor, 4K is handled smoothly, and the high refresh rate complements the MacBook's own 120Hz screen well.

Considering the features and performance, I think the price-performance ratio is more than excellent.

I can't think of any downsides to this screen.

But regarding the delivery and after-sales service, I am anything but satisfied!

Cool Blue delivered the wrong screen. I sent it back immediately.

The next day, no response. When I finally asked about it myself, they confirmed that the wrong device had already been delivered to them, but that processing could take UP TO 5 working days. However, 6 working days later, I had to inquire about it myself!? First, I received an email in the evening stating that my screen was no longer available, so I would receive a refund. I checked their site and there was indeed still a device available; it even said "second chance" was listed. When I wanted to respond, I received a second email: you are getting a completely new screen at the same price. Isn't that service? NO, that is not service. The difference was 30 euros if I'm not mistaken; I had to wait 8 days to get the right screen. Simply scandalous!

I've been using the AOC U32G4U for a few weeks now, having upgraded from a 32-inch 1080p monitor. Especially when gaming, you immediately notice the difference 4K makes. Games look sharper, and small details are much more noticeable. The color reproduction is beautiful and looks natural, without the image becoming too bright or unnatural. A big plus for me is that I don't experience backlight bleeding. With my previous monitor, it was clearly visible in dark scenes, and it often bothered me.

The 160 Hz refresh rate in 4K feels very smooth and makes fast movements easy to follow. I tested the dual mode with 1080p and 320 Hz, mainly out of curiosity. It works well for competitive games, but I found myself quickly switching back to 4K. Once you get used to that sharpness, 1080p simply feels less comfortable at this size.

It's worth noting that the monitor doesn't offer a true HDR experience. It supports HDR400, not HDR600, which limits the difference compared to SDR. Furthermore, the monitor doesn't use a joystick for control, but rather several separate buttons. This works well, but is slightly less intuitive than joystick controls. All in all, I'm very satisfied with the performance and image quality.
