Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro Black

The Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro is a beautiful, lightweight smartwatch that I use to accurately track my health and workouts.

Sturdy titanium casing I'm struck by the sturdy appearance of the casing. It's made of titanium, so it can withstand a few knocks. The round dial on the side feels sturdy and responds quickly when I scroll through menus and apps. The watch case is quite thin, making it fit snugly on my wrist. The nylon strap with Velcro closure feels comfortable and sturdy. I can barely feel the smartwatch on my wrist thanks to its light weight, which is very convenient.

Bright, durable sapphire crystal screen The 44mm screen is bright and easy to read in bright light. The screen responds quickly when I scroll through apps or tap them. When I look at the watch from the side, I see that the entire screen is integrated into the casing. This makes the watch flatter and less vulnerable. The sapphire crystal screen is scratch-resistant.

Long battery life and fast charging With average use, the smartwatch lasts 10 days. I've had it for a week and it still hasn't run out of juice. During that week, I wore the watch day and night and tracked my walks and workouts multiple times. I did notice that the battery drains faster when the always-on function is enabled. Mine didn't run out, but you can fully charge the watch in 60 minutes.

Many sports functions and an ECG monitor The number of training modes is endless. From running to golf and from scuba diving to trail running. The watch analyzes everything during workouts and gives you a comprehensive overview afterward. This way, I know exactly what I did and where I can improve. What's striking is that it also has an ECG function, allowing me to take heart recordings. I can then easily find all the data on my smartphone in the Huawei Health app.

Useful features and only Huawei apps I paired the watch with my iPhone without any problems. I also receive notifications from apps like WhatsApp or Gmail on my wrist. This way, I don't miss anything. A handy feature is that I can use the 4 Pro as a remote control when taking photos. This way, I don't have to set a timer if I want to take a photo of myself or a group from a distance. I only find Huawei apps on the watch. For example, I can't listen to my Spotify playlists directly from the watch.

Previously, I used the Huawei Watch 3, which unfortunately had some drawbacks such as a defective button, a scratch on the screen and a relatively short battery life. After switching to the Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro, I am very satisfied with the improvements offered. The watch has an elegant and modern design and is comfortable and light on the wrist.

The screen quality has improved significantly, with a brighter and sharper display. The device also has advanced functions such as an ECG measurement and the so-called arterial stiffness detection, which assesses the flexibility of the blood vessels and thus provides valuable health insights. In addition, the Watch Fit 4 Pro offers an extensive selection of sports modes, suitable for a wide range of activities.

What means the biggest improvement for me is the battery life: even with intensive use, the watch easily lasts up to ten days. One point for improvement remains the limited variety of available watch faces. Nevertheless, the Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro is a convincing upgrade compared to its predecessor and is an excellent choice for those looking for a versatile and reliable smartwatch.

First use The watch feels nice and light. I have been using it for a few weeks now and no damage or glitches/bugs yet. The installation of the watch and the Huawei app and pairing with my smartphone went smoothly.

Operation The operation of the watch (with scroll button, extra button and touchscreen) works smoothly and quickly. The settings and programs are generally where you expect them to be and there are various options to adjust the menus.

Sports options In the past few weeks I have mainly used the smartwatch as a sports watch. What is striking is that the data/information is clearly and accurately displayed during exercise, both visually and audibly (this can be turned off). I have tested it with running, cycling and hiking. It is also good to mention that free maps can be downloaded, so that you can see where you are and where you need to go while exercising.

Other options In addition, this watch has the functions that you can expect from a smartwatch: synchronization of appointments, messages, calls and data such as weather. The app also shows other data that is tracked by the watch, including the number of steps, the number of hours spent moving, your sleep pattern and your mood. This data can also be analysed by the app, which results in health advice. Many different free watch faces can be downloaded via the Huawei app. Switching between these faces is easy, so you can easily adapt your watch to the situation.

Oh yes, the battery life is excellent, even with a lot of use of GPS etc.!
