With a wall scanner, you can see if there are pipes or cables in the wall right away. That way, you can drill safely and prevent damage. A wall scanner recognizes metal and power cords. Some can also find wood base constructions or plastic tubes. You quickly know where you can and can't drill safely thanks to the noise and colored LED lights. You can also easily mark where the drill hole will be if the wall scanner has an opening. There are wall scanners from various brands. Choose a Bosch Professional or Bosch wall scanner, for example.
