The APS-C sensor is a light-sensitive image sensor that's in compact cameras, SLR cameras, and mirrorless cameras. This sensor is about 1.5 times smaller than a full-frame sensor. You take photos with a crop factor this way, so your image is more zoomed in. That way, you can photograph far-away subjects like wild animals or athletes up close more easily. The APS-C sensor is mostly found in mirrorless cameras from Canon, Nikon, Sony, and Fujifilm. Some Fujifilm and Ricoh compact cameras have an APS-C sensor.
