An induction cooktop heats the pan up quickly, without the cooktop itself becoming hot. This happens with a magnetic field. That's why induction is very safe and useful when you have small children running around. Another advantage is that the induction cooktop is energy-efficient. With electric cooking, the heat goes directly to the pan and there's little heat loss. You can choose from built-in induction cooktops and freestanding cooktops. If you switch from cooking on gas, choose a 1-phase induction cooktop. Want to grill? Choose an induction cooktop with a flexible cooking zone. Note: check the cutout dimensions well, so you're sure it fits in your counter.
