According to our laptop expert
Thanks to the NVIDIA GeForce MX250 video card, your videos render faster and you can play simple games like The Sims on this laptop.
With an Intel Core i5 processor and 8GB RAM, you can multitask with light programs such as Microsoft Office.
On the illuminated keyboard, you can also see in the dark which keys you press.
If you edit a lot of photos or videos, choose a laptop with at least an Intel Core i7 processor.
This laptop produces sound during intensive tasks such as photo shopping or multitasking.
With the Acer Aspire 5 A515-54G-59CL, you can edit photos in Photoshop. The NVIDIA GeForce MX250 video card renders these photos extra quickly. You can listen to music on Spotify while editing your photos. The 8GB RAM, allows you to effortlessly run multiple programs at the same time. Is the room temperature rising too much, and do you want to continue working outside? Because the screen is anti-reflective, you won't be bothered by the reflection of sunlight. When the bright sun has been replaced by the moon, you can continue working. That's because the backlit keyboard ensures you can find the right keys even in the dark.

Thinner and lighter than ever
I think the Acer Aspire 5 is a slim and light laptop. That's nice, because I sometimes take my laptop with me to work in a coffee shop. The keyboard types fine and the touchpad registers my touches well too. What is less is the largely plastic housing.
nice and light I looked it up and the laptop weighs only 1.8 kilograms. That is very light for a 15-inch laptop. Plus, it's also less than 2 inches thick. 15 inch laptops are not the most compact laptops. This laptop fits in my bag and I took it to the library once to work. It went well and without back pain.
Little metal Only the lid of this laptop is made of aluminum. I think that's a shame, because plastic feels less sturdy than aluminum. It does not matter for the luxurious appearance of the product. At first glance you do not immediately see that mainly plastic has been used. The Acer has a very neat appearance.
Nice keyboard I often use my laptop without an external keyboard or mouse. It is therefore important to me that the built-in keyboard types well. The keys of this Acer have little 'travel' and are therefore quite flat, which I personally like to work with. As a result, they also make little noise, so that typing does not disturb in an environment where many people want to work quietly. The touchpad also feels good and certainly not cheap. It registers my finger movements accurately and the cursor flies across the screen the way I want.
Solid screen The edges of the screen are thin. This is a trend that you see more often with laptops these days. Only positive, because this allows more screen space in a more compact model laptop. The screen is Full HD and the quality is excellent. I sometimes watch a Netflix series in bed on my laptop. It is important that I understand all the characters in the series through the built-in speakers. The sound from the speakers of this Acer is clear and makes this laptop certainly suitable for watching a Netflix series in bed. The speakers are less suitable for music and I prefer to use headphones.
Sufficient connections With 4 USB ports, an Ethernet port and an HDMI port, I have all the connections I need. Even if I want to use an external mouse, which is not necessarily necessary with this Acer, I still have 3 ports left for USB sticks and other accessories.

I bought this laptop specifically to edit photos and create photo albums. My previous laptop was very slow, this one works fine and is perhaps even faster than hoped...
