Stylish motivator to move and stay healthy

  • Provides insight into stress level
  • Battery lasts about 5 days
  • Strap with pin closure takes some getting used to

The Fitbit Sense is a stylish smartwatch that motivates me to exercise enough and to live healthy. The included silicone strap is easy to clean, but the buckle with pin closure takes some getting used to. Stylish, but strap takes getting used to I test the white/gold Fitbit Sense. The stainless steel edge on the watch case looks chic. The silicone strap is secure and does not slide. The pin closure takes some getting used to: with this you stop the end of the strap behind the watch strap, so that it does not protrude. My health comes first The Fitbit Sense motivates me to take at least 250 steps every hour. That is sometimes quite a challenge when I work from home. In addition to the step goal, the Sense also motivates me to burn a certain number of calories, walk floors, run distance and achieve active heart rate zones. At night, the watch measures my sleep and my skin temperature, which allows the watch to detect a fever in the offing. I track my water intake, weight, diet and menstrual cycle in the Fitbit app on my smartphone. The food catalog I can choose from is only American. The app does not know Dutch products such as chocolate sprinkles. 6 months free Fitbit Premium In that app I activate my 6 months of free Fitbit Premium. This health service gives me even more insight into my health. I request extensive reports about, among other things, my heart rate. In the Fitbit app, Fitbit Premium gives me fun challenges to stay active or become more active, such as Fit with bingo. I play against my sister and try to be the first to fill my bingo card by being active. EDA scanner to measure stress The Fitbit Sense also motivates me to relax. By measuring the electrodermal activity of my skin with an EDA scanner, the watch sees whether I am under stress or not. Through mindfulness and breathing exercises I easily bring my stress level back down. EKG heart rate measurement The Sense measures my heart rate throughout the day. If the heart rate is too high, I get a notification from the watch. Then I know I need to take it easy. If I want more in-depth insight into my heart rate, I make an EKG scan with the Sense. With this scan I make a heart film from my wrist which gives me insight into my heart rhythm. This scan is not as accurate as in the hospital.

Nice complete watch but I will exchange it for the Versa 3!

  • Beautiful, complete watch
  • smart wake
  • The minimum perks are not worth the €100 extra

Time for a review if you are in doubt between the Versa3 and the Sense! After much deliberation (choosing between Charge 4, Versa 3 and the Sense), the Sense was chosen. For the €100.00 extra compared to the Versa 3 you have a few functions: stress meter, skin temperature and ECG. To start with those three extras: - the only thing the stress meter shows is the difference between your heart rate at the start of the 2 minutes and at the end of the 2 minutes. If you want to see other values, you need premium. You fill in how stressed you feel, and it seems that he tells you how much stress you have based on that. Well done..! The breathing exercises/mindfulness that you can do, the Versa3 also seems to have. - the skin temperature is only measured at night and indicates 0 degrees with me. Strange. The oxygen meter (also available on models other than the Sense) also only works at night. Incidentally, it also helps to know what your (inside) temperature is instead of your skin temperature. - the EKG hasn't arrived yet. If there is, this is especially useful for heart patients, for example. You can make a heart film, but what do you do with it afterwards? If your heart gives such crazy abnormalities, then you certainly feel it yourself! And then you will go to a doctor. I think it only causes fear for nothing, such an ECG measurement. Finally, you can try out Premium for six months with the Sense (after which you pay €11 per month). I haven't tried premium yet. You seem to be able to read extra information and values, have extra on-screen workouts, etc. But frankly, I think it's a shame that you can't at least see the default values with a device of € 330.00 (sleep and stress measurement) . That's a loss! Then there are the advantages of the Sense, which the Versa3 (and largely even the Charge4) have: - comprehensive activity tracker and statistics on steps, kilometers, floors, heart rate, active minutes, calories etc, and notifications (e.g. every hour that you still have to walk!). Very nice if you have an office job and otherwise just sit still for hours. - smart wake: if you wear the smartwatch at night and set an alarm clock, you will be awakened in your light sleep with a vibration instead of an annoying chirping alarm clock. That is wonderful to wake up to! - sports measurements: I mainly use the smartwatch for running, cycling and tennis, but you can of course measure everything on it. I hope there will be a special tennis app with which I could, for example, see the number of forehands and backhands, but otherwise you will see a nice overview of your heart rate, distance, steps and calories during training. For example, if you turn on GPS while running, you can see exactly in which part you trained how. Top! You will also receive notifications on your watch during your run in which zone you are in or whether your heart rate is reaching a peak. Then you can train well with it. It's great that you can leave your phone at home. GPS is built-in. - I haven't tried music myself yet, but it seems that you can use spotify or deezer if you have your phone nearby. I
