According to our laptop expert
You can play demanding games at 60 fps and stream gameplay in Full HD with the RTX 4070 video card, the i9 processor, and 16GB RAM.
You can enjoy sharp images, lifelike colors, and smooth movements on the 240Hz WQXGA ROG Nebula screen with Dolby Vision and G-Sync.
You can easily expand this laptop with extra storage and RAM, which makes it future-proof.
This laptop doesn't have a numeric keypad, so you can't enter numbers and formulas as easily.
To stream your gameplay in 4K quality, we recommend 32GB RAM in addition to the i9 processor.
Play your favorite games on a high-end screen with the 16-inch ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 GU603VI-N4015W. With the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 video card, the 13th generation Intel Core i9 processor, and 16GB DDR5 RAM, you can play demanding games at 60 fps. You can also stream your gameplay in Full HD, use the laptop for virtual reality, and edit 3D designs in software like Unreal Engine. This ASUS gaming laptop has a ROG Nebula screen with WQXGA resolution and Dolby Vision. On this, you see all details clearly and enjoy lifelike colors. You also play fast shooters and racing games at a high level, thanks to the 240Hz refresh rate and G-Sync support. Need more storage space for your games after a while, or want to multitask faster? Upgrade the laptop with an extra M.2 SSD or DDR5 RAM. You can set your RGB backlit keyboard to your favorite color, so you can continue gaming in style when it's dark.

First of all, the laptop itself: the design is really great, a very nice chassis. Most parts are made of metal and feel really premium. Few other gaming laptops can match this. The screen lid goes up smoothly and the design is quite compact for a 16-inch gaming laptop. A downside is that the USB ports are very far forward. This means that all the cables are on the left next to the laptop instead of behind it.
The keyboard and trackpad are also very good. The glass trackpad really comes close to the trackpad of a MacBook, and the keyboard is solid and feels good. The backlight of the keyboard is limited in how much you can customize, but this is not a laptop for people who like RGB anyway.
The screen is really great. 500 nits is something that is not even self-evident on a laptop of 2000 euros. Everything is very sharp, the colors really jump out of the screen and with 240Hz everything is very smooth.
Performance is a more complicated story. I bought this laptop as an upgrade for my ASUS TUF A15 (Ryzen 7 + RTX 3060). In theory, the 4070 GPU in this laptop is a lot faster, but the problem lies in the single-channel DDR4 memory. In many games, you will be limited by this. In Valorant, my video card and CPU were practically asleep, but the FPS remained below 200. In other games, this laptop was not much faster than my old laptop.
However, after upgrading with a DDR4 16GB RAM stick, this problem was solved. My FPS in some games went up by 50%: above 300 in Valorant, above 100 in Black Myth Wukong and Cyberpunk with DLSS + Frame Gen at 1440p. After a RAM upgrade of 30 euros, this laptop performs well on almost all games at 1440p.
All in all, this is a premium gaming laptop, with a fantastic screen and good performance, provided you install an extra RAM stick!

Super laptop. I don't use it for gaming, but for designing in CAD. It's also very suitable for that.
