According to our laptop expert
Realistic colors: enjoy realistic, richer colors thanks to the OLED display.
Handle demanding tasks with AI: edit photos or videos, perform demanding tasks with AI, and enjoy a long battery life.
Useful AI features: use useful AI features like Cocreate with this Copilot+ PC.
Not for the heaviest tasks: your laptop slows down when you work in the most demanding programs. You’ll need a more powerful processor for that.
Not the sharpest screen: choose a high-end display quality if you want to see all details on the screen in razor-sharp, realistic quality.

From the moment I started using this laptop, I was struck by its beautiful finish. The design is sleek and modern, and its light weight makes it easy to take anywhere.
The screen is truly a joy to look at. Colors are vibrant, and blacks are truly black. This makes movies, photos, and even presentations look much better.
I use the AI tools in Windows Copilot+ daily. Whether it's quickly rewriting a text, summarizing information, or generating ideas, it's all incredibly fast and saves me a lot of time.
The battery easily lasts a full day, even with heavy use. This makes it ideal for work, study, and relaxation.

The laptop feels very solid thanks to its sturdy aluminum chassis, which stays cool and fingerprint-free. It's also very light and handy. The OLED panel is excellent, with deep blacks and very high brightness. This makes movies and photos truly shine. However, in bright ambient light, you do experience reflections on the screen, something OLED screens are known for. Perhaps it's just a matter of getting used to it. Unfortunately, there's no touchscreen, which is especially disappointing when using Copilot in Paint.
The speakers are located on the bottom and produce sound sufficient for video conferencing, but for listening to music, you're better off using external speakers or headphones. You can connect headphones to the 3.5mm jack, which is no longer a given these days.
The infrared camera works very well with Windows Hello, making logging in a breeze. The camera does not have a privacy shutter.
The Intel Core Ultra 5 226V processor with integrated Intel Arc 130V GPU under the hood is perfectly fine for normal use. Browsing, watching movies, and accounting are easily manageable, but don't expect graphical miracles. This CPU/GPU is simply not suitable for gaming or video editing. On the plus side, the efficient CPU does improve battery life, with a full charge lasting at least a workday. Furthermore, the laptop charges quickly with the included 65W charger. The integrated NPU helps with Copilot (or other AI tasks, such as Paint), although it's difficult to determine how "faster" it is than on a laptop without an NPU, especially for Copilot, which runs largely in the cloud.
Initially, the laptop is loaded with McAfee, Dropbox, NordVPN, and a stack of Acer programs. It's annoying to have to uninstall all that bloatware first.

This Acer laptop comes in a single-colored box that, as far as I can tell, is 100% recyclable. Good work, Acer! Once unpacked, you have a solid laptop with a beautiful design and a sleek chassis that feels exceptionally solid without being heavy. It feels like a larger tablet in terms of weight, making it ideal for portability.
Once opened, you get a great backlit keyboard and touchpad that respond as expected, although I still use a wireless mouse and separate keyboard for daily work. The excellent OLED screen has excellent colors and is easy on the eyes. Blacks are truly black, making other colors brighter as well. For an OLED screen, the reflection is not too bad, and the brightness is sufficient for reasonable work. I often miss the touchscreen, but in this price range, that's not a big deal. You can lay the screen completely flat if needed, as it can be rotated 180 degrees.
As soon as you turn it on, you're guided quickly and smoothly through the installation process, and you can start using the laptop in 5-10 minutes. Everything works smoothly thanks to the 16GB of RAM, 512GB SSD, and i5 processor. For more demanding applications, you can choose the more powerful versions.
Acer pre-installs some useful applications on your laptop that you can use or not, and these are all easily accessible via the dedicated Acer button. The downside is that, as far as I can tell, you can't easily add applications yourself, so if you don't use them, the button is useless. Furthermore, Co-pilot is, of course, an integrated part of this laptop. With a press of the Co-pilot button and without much AI knowledge, you can quickly get started, and with a few clever questions, help is quickly available. This works reasonably quickly and as you'd expect.
If you also want to use the laptop for entertainment in addition to working, watching a movie or playing an online game is still reasonable, but real gaming isn't its thing.
